The 2010 Regional League Division 2 (also known as the AIS Regional League Division 2 for sponsorship reasons) was contested by the five regional league winners and runners up of the 3rd level championships of Thailand. The two best 3rd placed teams from the regional leagues also take part
Twelve teams were split into two groups of A & B, with the top two teams from group A & B gaining promotion to the Thai 1st Division for the 2011 campaign, along with this, the two group winners would play off to determine the overall champions.
The teams finishing in 3rd and 4th position would enter another round of playoffs with the bottom four sides of the Thai Division 1 League to determine if they would play in the 1st Division for the 2011 campaign.

2009 Regional League Division 2 was contested by the five regional league winners of the 3rd level championships of Thailand.
Regional League Bangkok Area Division is one of six 3rd Level Leagues in Thailand. It was formed in 2009 along with other four other regional leagues at the time. Currently the winner and runner up of each regional league enter the Regional League Championships to determine the three teams that will receive promotion to the Thai Division 1 League.

The tournament is organized by the Football Association of Thailand. 94 clubs were accepted into the tournament, and it began with the qualification round on 29 September 2021 and concluded with the final on 22 May 2022. The winner would have qualified for the 2023 AFC Champions League play-off and the 2022 Thailand Champions Cup.
