The 2010 World Field Archery Championships were held in Visegrád, Hungary. [1] [2]

Visegrád Place in Pest, Hungary

Visegrád is a small castle town in Pest County, Hungary. It is north of Budapest on the right bank of the Danube in the Danube Bend. It had a population of 1,864 in 2010. Visegrád is famous for the remains of the Early Renaissance summer palace of King Matthias Corvinus of Hungary and the medieval citadel.

Archery World Cup

The Archery World Cup is a competition, started in 2006, organized by the World Archery Federation, where the archers compete in four different stages in four different countries and the best eight archers of each category advance to an additional stage to contest the Archery World Cup Final. This form of competition was introduced following the success of the 2003 World Archery Championships in New York and the 2004 Summer Olympics with the intent of making the sport more popular and attractive to spectators, with the matches being held in 'spectacular' locations and the final matches being broadcast online. It has received plaudits for its innovative approach to the sport, raising its profile and reach.

Deepika Kumari Indian archer

Deepika Kumari is an Indian athlete who competes in the event of archery, is currently ranked World No. 5, and is a former world number one. She won a gold medal in the 2010 Commonwealth games in the women's individual recurve event. She also won a gold medal in the same competition in the women's team recurve event along with Dola Banerjee and Bombayala Devi.

Ki Bo-bae South Korean archer

Ki Bo-Bae is a South Korean archer. She took up archery in fourth grade at primary school as archery was offered as a school sport, and she now competes for the South Korean national team. In 2011, Ki became the ninth woman to achieve the world number one ranking in the women's individual recurve rankings. She won Olympic gold in both the team and individual archery events at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Ki earned her third Olympic gold medal as a member of the gold medal winning South Korean women's archery team at the 2016 Summer Olympics. In the women's individual event at the 2016 Summer Olympics, she won the bronze medal. In 2016, she ranked as world number 4.

The archery events at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro were held over a seven-day period from 6 to 12 August. Four events took place, all were staged at the Sambadrome Marquês de Sapucaí.

Kim Woo-jin South Korean archer

Kim Woo-jin is a South Korean archer who has the current world number one ranking and is the current world record holder in men's individual recurve archery. He is a student, and lives in Chungju. He is right-handed, and uses 30-inch (76 cm) arrows and a draw weight of 46 pounds (21 kg). At the 2016 Summer Olympics. he won his first Olympic gold medal as a member of the South Korean men's archery team, who defeated the United States in the men's team archery final.

2013 World Archery Championships 47th edition of the World Archery Championships

The 2013 World Archery Championships was the 47th edition of the World Archery Championships. The event was held in Belek in the Antalya Province of Turkey from September 29 to October 6, 2013, and was organised by World Archery (FITA). It will be immediately preceded by the 50th World Archery congress in the same location. Qualification and elimination rounds took place at the Papillon Sports Centre in nearby Kadriye, with the medal matches on 5–6 October on the beach of Belek.

The World Archery Rankings is a ranking system developed by the World Archery Federation for international competitive archery. It is calculated using a points system and published following major World Archery tournaments.

2015 World Archery Championships sports event

The 2015 World Archery Championships was the 48th edition of the World Archery Championships. The event was held in Copenhagen, the capital city of Denmark from 26 July to 2 August 2015 and was organised by World Archery. Qualification and elimination rounds took place at the Sundby Idrætspark, with the medal matches on 1–2 August outside the Danish Parliament building Christiansborg Palace. The competition was preceded by the World Archery Congress on 24–25 July.

Jonathon Milne

Jonathon Milne is an Australian Paralmypic archer. In April 2015 he won the National Para Championships, held in Melbourne. In July 2016, he was selected to represent Australia at the 2016 Rio Paralympics where he won a bronze medal.

The 2017 World Archery Championships was the 49th edition of the World Archery Championships. The event was held in Mexico City, the capital city of Mexico from 15 October to 22 October 2017 and was organised by World Archery. Qualification and elimination rounds took place at the Campo Marte. The competition was preceded by the World Archery Congress on 13–14 October.

World Para Archery Championship, was played first time at 1998.
