The 2011 Men's Hockey INSEP Challenge was the second edition of the INSEP Challenge, a men's field hockey tournament. It was held in Paris, France, from July 26 to 31, 2011, and featured five of the top nations in men's field hockey. [1]

Competition format

The tournament featured the national teams of Argentina, Australia, Ireland, South Korea, and the hosts, France, competing in a round-robin format, with each team playing each other once. [2] Three points were awarded for a win, one for a draw, and none for a loss.

The 2011 Men's Hockey Champions Trophy, officially known as the Owen G Glenn FIH Men's Champions Trophy, was the 33rd edition of the Champions Trophy men's field hockey tournament. The International Hockey Federation (FIH) confirmed India as the host country, and announced New Delhi as the host city on February 4, 2011. The tournament dates were December 3 to December 11, 2011. However, on September 6, 2011, the FIH announced that India would no longer host the tournament due to a governance issue, and announced Auckland, New Zealand as the new host on September 13, 2011 with the same time schedule. The tournament was held at North Harbour Hockey Stadium.

South Korea competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, from July 27 to August 12, 2012. This was the nation's sixteenth appearance at the Olympics, having missed the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow because of its support for the United States boycott. The Korean Olympic Committee sent the nation's smallest delegation to the Games since 1992. A total of 248 athletes, 135 men and 113 women, competed in 22 sports.

The men's field hockey tournament at the 2012 Summer Olympics was the 22nd edition of the field hockey event for men at the Summer Olympic Games. It was held over a thirteen-day period beginning on 30 July, and culminating with the medal finals on 11 August. All games were played at the Riverbank Arena within the Olympic Park in London, United Kingdom.

Twelve national teams competed in the men's Olympic field hockey tournament at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Sixteen players were officially enrolled in each squad. Two reserve players could also be nominated to be available should a player enrolled in the official squad become injured during the tournament.

The 2013 Men's Hockey Asia Cup was the ninth edition of the Men's Hockey Asia Cup, the quadrennial international men's field hockey championship of Asia organized by the Asian Hockey Federation. It was held from 24 August to 1 September 2013 in Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia. The winner of this tournament qualified for the 2014 World Cup in The Hague, Netherlands.

The 2014–15 Men's FIH Hockey World League Semifinals took place in June and July 2015. A total of 20 teams competing in 2 events took part in this round of the tournament playing for 7 berths in the Final, played between 5–13 December 2015 in Raipur, India.

The 2017 Men's Hockey Asia Cup, also known as the Hero Men's Asia Cup 2017 due to sponsorship reasons, was the tenth edition of the Men's Hockey Asia Cup. It was held from 11 to 22 October 2017 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The winner of this tournament qualified for the 2018 World Cup in India.

The 2019 Sultan Azlan Shah Cup was the 28th edition of the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup. It was held in Ipoh, Malaysia from 23 until 30 March.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2023 Men's FIH Hockey World Cup</span> Field hockey world championships in India

The 2023 Men's FIH Hockey World Cup was the 15th edition of the Men's FIH Hockey World Cup, the quadrennial world championship for men's national field hockey teams organized by the International Hockey Federation. It was held at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar and at the 20,000 seat Birsa Munda International Hockey Stadium in Rourkela, India from 13 to 29 January 2023. On 5 January 2023, Hockey India launched the hockey anthem, Jai Ho Hindustan Ki for the world cup. This was composed by Prem Anand and sung by Sukhwinder Singh.

The 2021 Men's Asian Champions Trophy was the sixth edition of the Men's Asian Champions Trophy, a men's field hockey tournament for the six best Asian national teams organized by the Asian Hockey Federation.

The 2022 Men's Hockey Asia Cup marked the eleventh edition of the Men's Hockey Asia Cup, a quadrennial international men's field hockey championship in Asia organized by the Asian Hockey Federation. The tournament took place at the GBK Hockey Field in Jakarta, Indonesia, from May 23 to June 1, 2022.

The 2022 Men's FIH Hockey Nations Cup was the first edition of the Men's FIH Hockey Nations Cup, the annual qualification tournament for the Men's FIH Pro League organised by the International Hockey Federation. The tournament was held at the NWU Astro in Potchefstroom, South Africa from 28 November to 4 December 2022.
