The 2011 Individual Speedway Junior World Championship was the 35th edition of the FIM World motorcycle speedway Under-21 Championships. [1] [2]

Contents

The event final was increased from three races to four races between 23 July and 9 October 2011. [3] [4]

Maciej Janowski of Poland became the new champion. [5] [6] [7]

Qualification

In five Qualifying round will started 80 riders and to Semi-finals will qualify top 6 from each meetings. This 30 riders and 2 riders from Semi-final' host federations will started in two Semi-finals. The top 7 riders from both SF will automatically qualify for all Final meetings.

Riders

There will be fourteen permanent riders (riders placed 1st to 7th in both semi finals will automatically qualify for all Final meetings). Two Wild Card riders will be nominated to each final meeting (approval and nomination by CCP Bureau). Two Track Reserve riders will be nominated by national federation. In case of the absence of one or more riders in the final meetings, the first available Qualified Substitute rider or riders will be elevated for that meeting, and take the place(s) of the relevant missing rider(s).

Because after the last heat was a tie between second and third placed riders, a run-off was decided about silver and bronze medals.

Classification

The meeting classification will be according to the points scored during the meeting (heats 1–20). The total points scored by each rider during each final meeting (heat 1–20) will be credited also as World Championship points. The FIM Speedway Under 21 World Champion will be the rider having collected most World Championship points at the end of the series. In case of a tie between one or more riders in the final overall classification, a run-off will decide the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. For all other placings, the better-placed rider in the last final meeting will be the better placed rider.

The 2009 Individual Speedway Junior World Championship was the 33rd edition of the FIM World motorcycle speedway Under-21 Championships.

The 2009 Team Speedway Junior World Championship was the fifth annual FIM Team Under-21 World Championship competition since its introduction in 2005. The final took place on September 5, 2009, in Gorzów Wielkopolski, Poland. The 2010 Individual Speedway World Championship Grand Prix Qualification were a series of motorcycle speedway meetings used to determine the three riders who qualified for the 2010 Speedway Grand Prix. The top eight riders finishing the 2009 Grand Prix series automatically qualified for 2010. The final round of qualification – the Grand Prix Challenge – took place on 18 September 2009, in Coventry, England. The Grand Prix Challenge was won by Magnus Zetterström who finished ahead of Chris Holder and former Grand Prix rider Jarosław Hampel. All three riders qualified for the 2010 Grand Prix.

The 2009 European Pairs Speedway Championship was the sixth edition of the UEM European Pairs Speedway Championship. The Final was held on 26 September 2009 in Miskolc, Hungary; it was second Final in Hungary, but first in Miskolc. The championship was won by Czech Republic pair and they beat Russia and the defending Champions Poland.

The 2010 Individual Speedway Junior World Championship was the 34th edition of the FIM World motorcycle speedway Under-21 Championships.

The 2010 FIM Team Ice Racing World Championship was the 32nd edition and the 2010 version of FIM Team Ice Racing World Championship season. The Final was held in Krasnogorsk, Moscow Oblast, Russia on 30–31 January 2010. The championship was won by Russia, who they beat Sweden and Austria.

The 2011 FIM Team Ice Racing World Championship was the 33rd edition and the 2011 version of FIM Team Ice Racing World Championship season. The Final was held in Berlin, Germany on 26–27 February 2011. The championship was won by the defending champion Russia, who they beat Austria and Czech Republic.

The 2011 Team Long Track World Championship was the fifth annual FIM Team Long Track World Championship. The final took place on 21 August 2011 in Scheeßel, Germany. The Championship was won by the defending champion Germany who beat the Netherlands and Great Britain. It was fifth champion title for German riders.

The 2010 Individual Speedway Polish Championship was the 2010 version of Individual Speedway Polish Championship organized by the Polish Motor Union (PZM). The Championship was won by Janusz Kołodziej, who beat Krzysztof Kasprzak in the Run-off. Third was Rafał Dobrucki. Kołodziej, who won 2009, 2010 Golden Helmet and 2010 Speedway World Cup was award nomination to the 2011 Speedway Grand Prix. The defending Champion, Tomasz Gollob, who was a 2010 Speedway Grand Prix leader, resigned from the IMP Final.

The 2011 FIM Speedway Under 21 World Championship events took place from May to June 2010. The qualifying would determine the qualifiers for the 2011 Individual Speedway Junior World Championship finals.

The Final will take place in Tolyatti, Russia on 25-26 February 2011. The championship was won by the defending champion Russia, who they beat Austria and Czech Republic.
