The 2012 CONCACAF Futsal Championship was the fifth edition of the main international futsal tournament of the North and Central America and the Caribbean region. It took place in Guatemala City, Guatemala from 2 to 8 July 2012. [1]
The tournament served as a qualifying tournament for the 2012 FIFA Futsal World Cup in Thailand.
Saint Kitts and Nevis advanced automatically to the final round of a 2012 CONCACAF Futsal Championship after the Dominican Republic, Guyana, Haiti and Trinidad & Tobago withdrew from regional qualifying. Cuba was to host a Caribbean qualifying event 17–23 February. [2]
Canada and El Salvador competed for the fourth spot in Group A.

The eight participating teams were divided into two groups of four which each played on a single round-robin format. The top two teams of each group advanced to semi-finals. The top four teams from the tournament earned participation at the 2012 Futsal World Cup. The draw was held on 12 April 2012 at the Intercontinental Hotel in Guatemala City. The 2008 CONCACAF Futsal Championship was the fourth edition of the main international futsal tournament of the North and Central America and the Caribbean region. It took place in Guatemala City, Guatemala from 3 to 8 June 2008, with the Domo Polideportivo de la CDAG as the only venue.
The 2000 FIFA Futsal World Championship was the fourth FIFA Futsal World Championship, the quadrennial international futsal championship contested by the men's national teams of the member associations of FIFA. It was held between 18 November and 3 December 2000 in Guatemala. It was the first FIFA tournament held in the country.
The 2012 CONCACAF Women's U-20 Championship was the sixth edition of the CONCACAF Women's U-20 Championship. The final tournament was hosted by Panama from 1 to 11 March 2012. All matches were played at the Estadio Rommel Fernández. The top three teams of the 2012 tournament earned qualification to the 2012 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup. The tournament was won by the United States, who defeated Canada in the final, 2–1. Mexico secured the final qualification position by defeating Panama in the third place match, 5–0.
