The Cape Town International Challenge is an invitational association football tournament to be hosted in Cape Town, South Africa. The tournament has no official name and has also been referred to as Cape Town International Under-20 Challenge, [1] Eight Nations Cup [2] and the 8 Nation under 20 International Football Challenge. [3] The draw was made on 16 May 2012. [4] The tournament is open to players under 20 years of age. It is considered to be a successor to the 2010 Cape Town International Challenge. [3]

The competition was organised by the Cape Town division of the South African Football Association.

The Kenya national football team represents Kenya in international football. 2008–09 Nedbank Cup Football tournament season

Nedbank Cup is a South African club football (soccer) tournament. The knockout tournament, based on the English FA Cup format, carries a 'David versus Goliath' theme. The competition was sponsored by ABSA until 2007, after which Nedbank took over sponsorship.

The 2013 Africa Cup of Nations qualification was the qualification process for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations, the 29th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations tournament. South Africa automatically qualified as the host country.

2014 African Nations Championship International football competition

The 2014 African Nations Championship was the third African Nations Championship football tournament. The 16 national teams featured players from the respective national championships. The tournament took place between 11 January and 1 February 2014 in South Africa. Originally, the tournament was to be hosted in Libya. This was the first African Nations Championship tournament where all matches were considered full international matches.

Japan at the 2012 Summer Olympics Sporting event delegation

Japan, represented by Japanese Olympic Committee, competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, from 27 July to 12 August 2012. Despite being London's third Olympic games, Japan marked their London debut at this games. The nation also celebrated its centennial anniversary in the Olympics, having participated at every games since 1912 except for two editions; it was not invited to the 1948 Summer Olympics in London for its role in World War II, and was also part of the US-led boycott of the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow. The Cape Town International Challenge was an international tournament which took place in April 2010. The competition was created by the South African Football Association to try out the new infrastructure in time for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The competition was won by the Nigerian under 20 national football team.

The 2011–12 National First Division, is the season from September 2011 until May 2012, of South Africa's second tier of professional football. By the end of the season, the overall NFD champion will get promoted to the first level, known as Premier Soccer League (PSL).

The 2012–13 Premier Soccer League season was the seventeenth season of the Premier Soccer League since its establishment in 1996. The season began in the second week of August 2012.

The 2014 AFC Challenge Cup was the fifth and the final edition of the AFC Challenge Cup, an international football competition for Asian Football Confederation (AFC) member nations that are mainly categorized as "emerging countries" in the now defunct Vision Asia programme. 2019 Africa Cup of Nations International football competition

The 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, known as the Total2019 Africa Cup of Nations for sponsorship reasons, was the 32nd edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, the biennial international men's football championship of Africa organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF). The tournament was hosted by Egypt. The competition was held from 21 June to 19 July 2019, as per the decision of the CAF Executive Committee on 20 July 2017 to move the Africa Cup of Nations from January/February to June/July for the first time. It was also the first Africa Cup of Nations expanded from 16 to 24 teams.

Cape Town City F.C. (2016) Professional football club based in Cape Town, South Africa

Cape Town City Football Club is a South African professional football club based in Cape Town, South Africa, that plays in the Premier Soccer League (PSL). The original football club Cape Town City FC was founded in 1962, before being reformed in 2016. The team plays its home matches at the Athlone Stadium, and its training centre is based at Hartleyvale Stadium, the club's original home ground between 1962-77.

Israel competed at the AFC Asian Cup four times. In 1956 and 1960 Israel finished second, in 1964 they finished first, and in 1968 they finished third. In 1972 Israel qualified for the tournament as hosts but later withdrew.

2019 Africa U-17 Cup of Nations International football competition

The 2019 Africa U-17 Cup of Nations was the 13th edition of the Africa U-17 Cup of Nations, the biennial international youth football tournament organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for players aged 17 and below. In May 2015, it was decided that the tournament would be hosted by Tanzania.
