The 2012 Auto-G [1] Danish Thundersport Championship season was the first season of the Danish Thundersport Championship, it began at Jyllandsringen in May and concluded at the same venue in September.

Contents

The championship succeeded the Danish Touringcar Championship, with the Super 2000 cars being replaced with the Camaro Cup/Trans Am cars.

Jan Magnussen won the championship, driving for Fukamuni Racing.

The circuit has regularly hosted rounds of the Danish Touringcar Championship (DTC), TCR Denmark Touring Car Series, Super GT Denmark and F4 Danish Championship. It is also used daily for testing and track days.

FDM Jyllands-Ringen is a motor racing circuit in Resenbro, near Silkeborg in Denmark. The circuit was extended from 1.475 km (0.917 mi) to 2.300 km (1.429 mi) in 2003, by linking the track to an adjacent oval circuit.

The 2010 Danish Touringcar Championship season was the 11th and last Danish Touringcar Championship (DTC) season. Four of the race weekends will be held together with the Swedish Touring Car Championship and the results from these races will also count towards the Scandinavian Touring Car Cup. From 2011, the new Scandinavian Touring Car Championship will replace both the Swedish and the Danish Touring Car Championships.

Schubert Motorsport is a private motorsport team founded and owned by team principal and European Autocross champion Torsten Schubert, and headquartered in Oschersleben, Germany. The team has operated as a BMW privateer since its inception in 1999, with plenty of success, and has specialised in endurance racing since 2004.
