The 2013 Asian Development Tour was the fourth season of the Asian Development Tour, the official development tour to the Asian Tour.
In July 2012, it was announced that all Asian Development Tour events, beginning in 2013, would receive Official World Golf Ranking points at the minimum level of 6 points for the winner of a 72-hole event. [1] [2]

The Order of Merit was based on prize money won during the season, calculated in U.S. dollars. [4] The top three players on the Order of Merit (not otherwise exempt) earned status to play on the 2014 Asian Tour. [5]

The Challenge Tour, also sometimes referred to as the European Challenge Tour, is the second-tier men's professional golf tour in Europe. It is operated by the PGA European Tour and similarly with the main European Tour and the European Senior Tour, some of the events are played outside Europe.
The Asian Tour is the principal men's professional golf tour in Asia except for Japan. It is also a full member of the International Federation of PGA Tours. Official money events on the tour count for Official World Golf Ranking points.
The PGA Tour of Australasia, currently titled as the Challenger PGA Tour of Australasia for sponsorship reasons, is a professional golf tour for men, owned and operated by the PGA of Australia. Official events on the tour count for World Golf Ranking points. The tour is recognised as being founded in 1973 when the PGA of Australia instituted an Order of Merit. Despite always including at least one tournament in New Zealand, the tour was known as the PGA Tour of Australia until it adopted its current name in 1991 following the inclusion of three events in Asia.
The WGC-HSBC Champions was a professional golf tournament, held annually in China. Inaugurated in 2005, the first seven editions were played at the Sheshan Golf Club in Shanghai, then moved to the Mission Hills Golf Club in Shenzhen for a single year in 2012. American James Bowen, Malaysia's Iain Steel and Canadian Lindsay Renolds were also rewarded with 2014 Asian Tour cards after finishing inside the top-four of the final 2013 ADT Order of Merit, topped by Malaysia's Nicholas Fung, who had already secured his card through the Asian Tour's Order of Merit.
