The 2013 FIVB Women's World Grand Champions Cup was held in Nagoya and Tokyo, Japan from November 12 to 17, 2013. [1] [2] Brazil won their second title [3] and Brazilian Fabiana Claudino was selected the Most Valuable Player. [4]

The competition formula of the 2013 Women's World Grand Champions Cup was a single Round-Robin system. Each team played once against each of the five remaining teams. Points were accumulated during the whole tournament, and the final standing was determined by the total points gained.

The Brazil women's national volleyball team is administered by the Confederação Brasileira de Voleibol (CBV) and takes part in international volleyball competitions. It is ranked second in the FIVB World Rankings as of August 2021. They are the current record holder of FIVB World Grand Prix champion titles, having won it for the eleventh time in 2016 and are the gold medalists of the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing and 2012 Summer Olympics in London. The team also got a gold four times in the Pan American Games, and three other Olympic medals, the latest a silver in the 2020 Summer Olympics.
The FIVB World Grand Prix 2006 was the fourteenth edition of the annual women's volleyball tournament, which is the female equivalent of the Men's Volleyball World League.
Sheilla Tavares de Castro is a Brazilian former volleyball player who represented Brazil at the 2008 Summer Olympics and the 2012 Summer Olympics. On both occasions the Brazilian national team won the gold medal. She also played the 2016 Summer Olympics, when Brazil placed fifth. She retired on April 9, 2022.
Fabiana Marcelino Claudino is a Brazilian volleyball player who made her debut for the Brazilian national team against Croatia. She captained Brazil to the gold medal at the 2012 Olympics.
Prisilla Altagracia Rivera Brens is a volleyball player from the Dominican Republic.
Sidarka de los Milagros Núñez is a volleyball player from the Dominican Republic, who played for the Women's National Team at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. There her team ended up in fifth place. She claimed the gold medal at the 2008 Women's Pan-American Volleyball Cup in Mexico, where she was named Most Valuable Player of the tournament.
Fabiana "Fabi" Alvim de Oliveira is a Brazilian retired volleyball player who won the gold medal at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics.
The FIVB World Grand Prix 2009 is a women's volleyball tournament that was played by 12 countries from 31 July to 23 August 2009. The finals were held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan. Brazil, United States, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico qualified for the tournament at the 2008 Women's Pan-American Cup in Mexicali and Tijuana, Mexico.
The 2010 FIVB Women's World Championship was the sixteenth edition of the competition. Like the previous tournament, the 2010 edition also was held from 29 October to 14 November 2010 in Japan, though the range of venues and locations was modified slightly. Twenty-four teams participated in the tournament.

Tandara Alves Caixeta is a Brazilian professional volleyball player. She plays for the Brazil women's national volleyball team and for Sesc-Rio in the Brazilian Superliga. She competed for Brazil in the 2012 Summer Olympics, winning a gold medal. She is 1.84 m tall. She is the daughter of Evaldo Caixeta, a former amateur player with Banco do Brasil Athletic Association. At the age of nine, after trying many different sports, she saw a TV advert and decided to go to a volleyball trial.

The Group 1 final round was held in Tokyo, Japan. The Brazilian star team won the tournament for the tenth time, the second consecutive victory.
