The 2001 Nokia Brier, Canada's national men's curling championship, was held March 3–11 at the Ottawa Civic Centre in Ottawa, Ontario. It was the very first Brier to be sponsored by Nokia. The theme of the event was the 2001: A Space Odyssey. In the finals, Team Alberta, consisting of skip Randy Ferbey, fourth David Nedohin, second Scott Pfeifer and lead Marcel Rocque would capture their first of four Brier wins as a team. They edged out Team Manitoba skipped by Kerry Burtnyk in the final, 8–4. While the Brier was not unsuccessful, it did end up losing money. The total attendance was 154,136.
The 2010 Tim Hortons Brier, the Canadian men's national curling championship, was held between March 6 until March 14, 2010 in Halifax, Nova Scotia at the Halifax Metro Centre. It marked the sixth time the Brier had been to Halifax, and the second time in eight years, having previously hosted the 2003 Nokia Brier.

The 2013 Alberta Scotties Tournament of Hearts, Alberta's women's provincial curling championship, was held from January 23 to 27 at the Lethbridge Curling Club in Lethbridge, Alberta. The winning Kristie Moore rink from Grande Prairie went on to represent Alberta at the 2013 Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Kingston, Ontario.
The 2013 New Brunswick Scotties Tournament of Hearts, the women's provincial curling championship for New Brunswick, was held from January 30 to February 3 at the Tri-County Complex in Fredericton Junction, New Brunswick. The winning team of Andrea Crawford represented New Brunswick at the 2013 Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Kingston, Ontario.
The 2013 Alberta Boston Pizza Cup, the men's provincial curling championship for Alberta, was held from February 6 to 10 at the Leduc Recreation Centre in Leduc, Alberta. The winner of the Boston Pizza Cup represented Alberta at the 2013 Tim Hortons Brier in Edmonton.
The 2013 Canadian Direct Insurance BC Men's Curling Championship was held from February 6 to 10 at the Parksville Curling Club in Parksville, British Columbia. The winner of the BC Men's Curling Championship will represent British Columbia at the 2013 Tim Hortons Brier in Edmonton.
The men's tournament of the 2013 Canadian Junior Curling Championships was held from January 31 to February 10 at the Suncor Community Leisure Centre at MacDonald Island Park and at the Oilsands Curling Club in Fort McMurray, Alberta.

The 2014 Molson Canadian Men's Provincial Curling Championship, the men's provincial curling championship for New Brunswick, was held from February 5 to 9 at Curl Moncton in Moncton, New Brunswick. The winning team of James Grattan represented New Brunswick at the 2014 Tim Hortons Brier in Kamloops, British Columbia.
The men's tournament of the 2017 Canadian U18 Curling Championships was held from April 18 to 22, 2017 at the Superior Propane Centre and Curl Moncton in Moncton, New Brunswick.
The 2019 Tim Hortons Brier, Canada's national men's curling championship, was held from March 2 to 10 at Westoba Place in Brandon, Manitoba. In the final, Kevin Koe of Alberta defeated Team Wildcard skipped by Brendan Bottcher 4–3 by scoring two in the tenth end to win. It was the lowest scoring Brier final since 1992, which was held before the adoption of any free guard zone rule.

The 2022 Canadian U18 Curling Championships were held from May 1 to 7 at the Oakville Curling Club in Oakville, Ontario. The event was originally scheduled to be held February 14 to 20 in Timmins, Ontario, however, was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Ontario.
The 2023 New Brunswick Tankard, the provincial men's curling championship for New Brunswick, was held from February 8 to 12 at Curl Moncton in Moncton, New Brunswick. The winning Scott Jones rink represented New Brunswick at the 2023 Tim Hortons Brier in London, Ontario where they finished last in Pool B with a 1–7 record.
The 2024 Scotties Tournament of Hearts, Canada's national women's curling championship, will be held from February 16 to 25 at the Markin MacPhail Centre at Canada Olympic Park in Calgary, Alberta. The winning team will represent Canada at the 2024 World Women's Curling Championship at Centre 200 in Sydney, Nova Scotia.
The 2024 Montana's Brier, Canada's national men's curling championship, will be held from March 1 to 10 at the Brandt Centre in Regina, Saskatchewan. The winning team will represent Canada at the 2024 World Men's Curling Championship at the KSS Sports Complex in Schaffhausen, Switzerland.
