This article details the North Wales Crusaders Rugby League Football Club's 2013 season. This is the club's second season after reforming following the former Super League club Crusaders Rugby League folding. The club will take part in Championship 1 for their second season. [1] The club will be also taking part again in the Challenge Cup, and the National League Cup (known as the Northern Rail Cup for sponsorship reasons) for the first time in their short history. [2]

David Watkins was a Welsh dual-code rugby international, having played both rugby union and rugby league football for both codes' national teams between 1963 and 1979. He captained the British and Irish Lions rugby union side, and made six appearances for the Great Britain rugby league team. With the Wales national rugby league team he played in every match of the 1975 World Cup, and with English club Salford he played more than 400 games over 12 seasons.

Super Rugby is a men's professional rugby union club competition involving teams from Australia, Fiji, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands. It has previously included teams from Argentina, Japan, and South Africa. Super Rugby started as the Super 12 in the 1996 season with 12 teams from Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa, building on competitions dating back to the South Pacific Championship in 1986. The 1896–97 Northern Rugby Football Union season was the second ever season of rugby league football. Crusaders Rugby League enter their 5th year of rugby league, their 2nd in professional rugby league, in 2010. Additionally, this will be their first known as Crusaders Rugby League after previously being known as Celtic Crusaders, and their first year playing away from Brewery Field, Bridgend, moving to Wrexham's Racecourse Ground.
