The 2013 Weber State Wildcats football team represented Weber State University in the 2013 NCAA Division I FCS football season. Jody Sears returned as the head coach for the 2013 season, after being the interim head coach during 2012, [1] and will be working with a new offensive coordinator and defensive coordinator in Robin Pflugrad and Eric Lewis. [2] Weber State played their home games at Stewart Stadium. They were a member of the Big Sky Conference. They finished the season 2–10, 1–7 in Big Sky play to finish in a tie for 11th place.

On November 26, head coach Jody Sears was fired after a two-season record of 4–19. It was part of Sears' three-year contract, signed after his first year as interim head coach, that he could be fired without compensation if the Wildcats failed to win four games in a season. [3]

All Wildcats games can be heard on KLO (Ogden) and KLO-FM (Salt Lake City), nicknamed KLO AM/FM. KLO is a move from the previous radio broadcast group of 1280 AM, but radio broadcasts will still be done online via Big Sky TV for non-televised home games and on KLOradio.com for all games. Carl Arky and Ty Sparrow will call every game. [5]

Robin Pflugrad is a retired American football coach. He was most recently the assistant head coach and tight ends coach at Northern Arizona University. He was the head coach for the University of Montana from 2010 to 2011 and the offensive coordinator at Weber State University in 2013. Pflugrad previously held assistant coaching positions at Montana, Oregon, Washington State, Arizona State, and Portland State.

The 2012 Weber State Wildcats football team represented Weber State University in the 2012 NCAA Division I FCS football season. In December 2011, John L. Smith was hired to be the new head coach. That all changed on April 23, 2012. On April 23, John L. Smith was offered a one-year contract to be the new head coach of the Arkansas Razorbacks, so he left Weber State to take the position after being head coach for roughly 3+12 months. On April 26, Weber State announced that Jody Sears would serve as interim head coach for the 2012 season in addition to the defensive coordinator spot he was hired for earlier in April. Weber State played their home games at Stewart Stadium. They are a member of the Big Sky Conference. They finished the season 2–9, 2–6 in Big Sky play to finish in a tie for 11th place.

They finished the season 19–12, 14–6 in Big Sky play to win the Big Sky regular season championship. They were also champions of the Big Sky Conference tournament to earn an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament where they lost in the second round to Arizona.

The 2014 BYU Cougars softball team represented Brigham Young University in the 2014 NCAA Division I softball season. Gordon Eakin entered the year as head coach of the Cougars for a 12th consecutive season. The Cougars entered 2014 being in their fourth conference in four years time. In 2011 the Cougars were part of the Mountain West Conference. In 2012, they joined the Western Athletic Conference for softball only. In 2013, they were part of the Pacific Coast Softball Conference, and in 2014 they joined the West Coast Conference. The WCC was in its first season hosting softball after Pacific joined the conference, giving them the six members needed to host softball for the conference. The Cougars had won their last 3 conference championships and entered 2014 as the favorites in the WCC. The Cougars won the conference championship with a sweep of Saint Mary's on April 9 and qualified for their tenth consecutive NCAA softball tournament. After upsetting Northwestern on Thursday, the Cougars lost twice on Friday to be eliminated from the Eugene region with a 34–23 overall record.

Brian Patrick Jankowski is a former American NCAA Division I football and basketball player for Weber State University. He played tight end for five years at the NCAA Division I FCS level and one season of basketball at the NCAA Division I level. He is currently training to become an American General Dentist and is set to graduate in 2019 from Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health in Mesa, Arizona.

The 2017 Weber State Wildcats football team represented Weber State University in the 2017 NCAA Division I FCS football season. The Wildcats were led by fourth-year head coach Jay Hill and played their games at Stewart Stadium as members of the Big Sky Conference. They finished the season 11–3, 7–1 in Big Sky play to finish in a tie for the Big Sky championship with Southern Utah. Due to their head-to-head loss to Southern Utah in the regular season, they did not receive the Big Sky's automatic bid to the FCS Playoffs, but did receive an at-large bid to the FCS Playoffs, their second straight trip to the playoffs. In the first round, they defeated Western Illinois. In the second round, they avenged their regular season loss to Southern Utah. In the quarterfinals, they lost to eventual national runner-up, James Madison.

The 2018 Sacramento State Hornets football team represented California State University, Sacramento as a member of the Big Sky Conference during the 2018 NCAA Division I FCS football season. Led by Jody Sears in his fifth and final season as head coach, Sacramento State compiled an overall record of 2–8 with a mark of 0–7 in conference play, placing last out of 13 teams in the Big Sky. The Hornets played home games at Hornet Stadium in Sacramento, California.

The 2019 Cotton Bowl Classic was a college football bowl game played on December 28, 2019, with kickoff at 12:00 p.m. EST on ESPN. It was the 84th edition of the Cotton Bowl Classic, and was one of the 2019–20 bowl games concluding the 2019 FBS football season. Sponsored by the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, the game was officially known as the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic.

The 2021 Citrus Bowl was a college football bowl game played on January 1, 2021, with kickoff at 1:00 p.m. EST on ABC. It was the 75th edition of the Citrus Bowl, and was one of the 2020–21 bowl games concluding the 2020 FBS football season. Sponsored by Vrbo, a vacation rental marketplace owned by the HomeAway division of Expedia, the game was officially known as the Vrbo Citrus Bowl.

The 2022 Weber State Wildcats football team represented Weber State University as a member of the Big Sky Conference during the 2022 NCAA Division I FCS football season. The Wildcats were led by ninth-year head coach Jay Hill and played their games at Stewart Stadium in Ogden, Utah. The Wildcats began the regular season ranked number 20 in the FCS rankings. On September 10, the Wildcats defeated the Utah State Aggies, their first win against the Aggies since 1978, and their first win against an FBS opponent since their victory against Nevada in 1993. The Wildcats finished the regular season with a record of 9–2, good enough to qualify for the NCAA Division I FCS Playoffs, their fifth appearance under Jay Hill. The Wildcats defeated North Dakota in the opening round, but were defeated by Montana State the following round. After the season, head coach Jay Hill announced he would step down as Weber State head coach to accept the Defensive Coordinator position at BYU. Offensive coordinator Mickey Mental was announced as Hill's successor.

The 2023 Northwestern Wildcats football team represented Northwestern University in the West Division of the Big Ten Conference during the 2023 NCAA Division I FBS football season. They were led by first-year head coach David Braun and played their home games at Ryan Field in Evanston, Illinois. Braun began the season as interim head coach and was elevated to permanent head coach on November 15 following the team's 24–10 road win over Wisconsin.
