<span class="mw-page-title-main">Gelora Sriwijaya Stadium</span> Stadium in Palembang, South Sumatera, Indonesia

Gelora Sriwijaya Stadium, also known as Jakabaring Stadium, is a multi-purpose stadium located in Jakabaring Sport City complex in Palembang, South Sumatra, Indonesia. Holding 23,000 spectators., the stadium is currently used mostly for football matches. The construction began in 2001 and finished in 2004 to host the 2004 Indonesia National Games. The stadium was initially named as Jakabaring stadium after the location of the stadium in southern outskirt of Palembang. However, later the stadium was renamed "Gelora Sriwijaya", to honor and celebrate the 7th—13th century Indonesian empire of Srivijaya. The Third Place Playoff of the 2007 AFC Asian Cup was held in this stadium. The football club Sriwijaya is based at the stadium.

The Islamic Solidarity Games is a multinational, multi-sport event. Managed jointly by the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation (ISSF), the Games involve elite athletes of the OIC competing in a variety of sports. The most recent edition was held in Konya, Turkey, in 2022. The next edition will take place in 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Ahmad Sunarto is an Indonesian professional footballer who plays as a winger for Liga 3 club NZR Sumbersari. He represented Indonesia at the 2013 Islamic Solidarity Games on home soil.

The 2009 event, originally scheduled to take place in Iran, and later rescheduled for April 2010, was cancelled after a dispute arose between Iran and the Arab countries.

Neslihan Arın is a Turkish badminton player. The 178 cm (5.84 ft) tall athlete plays right-handed and is coached by Çağatay Taşdemir at Egospor club of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality. She won the women's singles title at the 2013 Islamic Solidarity Games, 2013, 2018 Mediterranean Games and the women's doubles title at the 2013 Mediterranean Games. Arın also won the bronze medals at the 2015 European Games and at the 2021 European Championships, 2022 European Championships and 2024 European Championships

The name "istiqlal" is Arabic word for "independence", thus it is also meant to commemorate the independence of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The 4th Islamic Solidarity Games was a multinational, multi-sport event that was held in Baku, Azerbaijan, from May 12 to 22, 2017. Previously, the event was held in Saudi Arabia in 2005 and Indonesia in 2013. The second event, originally scheduled to take place in October 2009 in Iran, was later rescheduled but then cancelled.

Cok Istri Agung Sanistyarani is an Indonesian karateka. She won the gold medal in the women's kumite 61 kg event at the 2017 SEA Games held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She won one of the bronze medals in the women's kumite 55 kg event at the 2018 Asian Games held in Jakarta, Indonesia. She also won multiple medals at both the Islamic Solidarity Games and the Asian Karate Championships.

Indonesia first participated at the Islamic Solidarity Games in 2005 and has sent athletes to compete in every Islamic Solidarity Games since. As of 2022, Indonesian athletes have won a total of 222 medals at the games, making it one of the top nations.

The weightlifting tournament at the 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games in Konya was held between 11–15 August 2022. The weightlifting competition took place at TÜYAP Konya International Fair Center in Konya.

Gymnastics at the 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games was held in Konya, Turkey from 10 to 18 August 2022 in Konya Velodrome. Gymnastics competitions were held between 10–11 August 2022 for Men's Artistic and 17–18 August 2022 for Women's Artistic Gymnastics. Aerobic competitions were held between 13–14 August 2022 and The Rhytmic Gymnastics competitions were held on 13–14 August 2022.

Cycling at the 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games was held in Konya, Turkey from 5 to 13 August 2022 in Konya Velodrome. The Road Cycling events of the competitions were held on various routes in Konya and the Track Cycling events were held at the Konya Velodrome.

The athletics competition at the 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games was held in Konya, Turkey from 8 to 12 August 2022 in Konya Athletic Field. The Para Athletics competitions will be held in Konya Athletic Field on 11 August 2022. Countries can compete with a maximum of 2 athletes in each disability class in Para Athletics competitions. <span class="mw-page-title-main">Wrestling at the 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games</span> Wrestling event

Wrestling at the 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games were held in Konya, Turkey from 10 to 13 August 2022. Each National Olympic Committee (NOC) has the right to participate with a maximum of one wrestler per weight category in all styles. The maximum number of athletes per delegation is 30.All competitors must be of senior age category. The competitions take place by direct elimination system with an ideal number of wrestlers, i.e. 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, etc. If there is no ideal number of wrestlers in a category, qualification matches will take place. Matching is done in the order of numbers determined by the draw made by UWW. 4 Each weight category begins and ends in a day. The competition takes place in the following format: Elimination rounds, Semi-finals, Repechage rounds, Finals.
