The 2014 Boodles Challenge was an exhibition tournament held before Wimbledon to serve as a warm-up to players. Taking place from 17 to 21 June 2014 at Stoke Park in London, it was the 13th edition of the Boodles Challenge. Robin Haase won the title. [1]

Boodles Challenge

The Boodles Tennis Challenge is an international five-day tennis exhibition held at Stoke Park in Buckinghamshire, England. In coordination with Boodles, a luxury jeweler, it was initially founded by veteran sports agent Patricio Apey as an event to help players hone their grass court skills in the lead-up to Wimbledon. It is played in a similar style to the AAMI Classic giving the players at least three matches each and allowing non competition players to appear in one match per a day. Over recent years Andre Agassi, Pete Sampras, Tim Henman, Marat Safin, James Blake, Andy Roddick, Fernando González, David Nalbandian, Novak Djokovic, Fernando Verdasco, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Andy Murray have all appeared. Since its inception, The Boodles has turned into a lifestyle event featuring British luxury brands such as Boodles, Veuve Clicquot and H.R. Owen.

Robin Haase Dutch tennis player

Robin Haase is a Dutch professional tennis player. He is currently the highest-ranked Dutch player, achieving a career-high ATP singles ranking of world No. 33 in July 2012. He has won two singles titles, and reached quarterfinals of the 2012 Monte Carlo Masters and semifinals of the 2017 Canada Masters. Together with countryman Igor Sijsling, Haase reached the final of the 2013 Australian Open men's doubles. Haase is left-handed but plays right-handed. His mother is Dutch and father is German.

Kevin Anderson (tennis) South African tennis player

Kevin Anderson is a South African professional tennis player who is ranked world No. 17 in men's singles by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) as of 19 August 2019.

Marin Čilić Croatian tennis player

Marin Čilić is a Croatian professional tennis player. Over the course of his career, Čilić has won 18 ATP singles titles, including a Grand Slam title at the 2014 US Open. His career-high singles ranking is world No. 3, achieved on 28 January 2018. Čilić first came to international prominence by defeating world No. 2 Andy Murray in the fourth round of the 2009 US Open, and then reaching the semi-finals at the Australian Open a few months later. He was also runner-up at the 2017 Wimbledon Championships and the 2018 Australian Open, losing to Roger Federer both times. Čilić has reached at least quarterfinal in all four major tournaments, and has made it to at least that stage at 13 different Grand Slams. He is known for his fast serves and powerful ground-strokes.

The 2014 Wimbledon Championships was a tennis tournament played on grass courts at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in Wimbledon, London in England. It was the 128th edition of the Wimbledon Championships and were held from 23 June to 6 July 2014. It was the third Grand Slam tennis event of the year and was part of the ATP World Tour, the WTA Tour, the ITF Junior Tour and the NEC Tour. The championships were organised by the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club and the International Tennis Federation.

The Djokovic–Federer rivalry is a tennis rivalry between two professional tennis players, Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer. They have faced each other 48 times with Djokovic leading 26–22. This includes a record 16 Grand Slam matches, five of which were finals, plus a record ten semifinals. Federer dominated during their early matches, leading 13–6 by the end of 2010, but Djokovic took over the lead in the head-to-head in 2016, thanks to a 20–9 record since 2011. Novak Djokovic was the defending champion, but lost to Rafael Nadal 7–5, 6–3 in the final. With the win, Nadal became the first player to win this event six times.

Big Four (tennis) quartet of top tennis players

In tennis, the quartet of men's singles players comprising Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, and Andy Murray were often referred to as the Big Four. These players were considered dominant in terms of ranking and tournament victories, including Grand Slam tournaments and ATP Masters 1000 events, as well as the ATP Finals, the ATP Tour 500 series and Olympic Games, having dominated the sport among them from 2004 until 2016. Novak Djokovic and Grigor Dimitrov delighted the crowd with a strip-tease during their exhibition match on the third day.

The 2016 Boodles Challenge was an exhibition tournament held before Wimbledon to serve as a warm-up to players. Taking place from 21 to 25 June 2016 at Stoke Park in London, it was the 15th edition of the Boodles Challenge. As with last year, no player was declared champion.

The 2017 Boodles Challenge was an exhibition tournament held before Wimbledon to serve as a warm-up to players. Taking place from 27 June to 1 July 2017 at Stoke Park in London, it was the 16th edition of the Boodles Challenge. As with last year, no player was declared champion.
