The 2014 European Championship was the 13th European Championship of American football. The competition was held in Austria between May 30 and June 7, 2014. The top three teams qualified for the 2015 IFAF World Championship.
Since 2003, the European Championships have been held in three different stages, with the winners of the C- and B-Pool tournaments each being promoted to the next-highest level. The winner of the C-Pool tournament in 2012 was Serbia. The B-Pool tournament 2013 took place from August 31 to September 7 in Milan, Italy. In addition to Italy and Serbia, there was also Denmark, Spain, the Czech Republic and Great Britain that battled for a spot in the A-Pool for 2014 in Austria. The winner was Denmark, which qualified for the A-pool in 2014. [1]
Below is a list of the venues which hosted games during the 2014 EFAF European Championship. Each preliminary round group was hosted in a single arena in St. Pölten (Group A) and Graz (Group B). The knockout phase and Finals took place at Ernst-Happel-Stadion in Vienna.

The 2008 UEFA European Football Championship, commonly referred to as UEFA Euro 2008 or simply Euro 2008, was the 13th UEFA European Championship, a quadrennial football tournament contested by the member nations of UEFA. It took place in Austria and Switzerland from 7 to 29 June 2008.
Ernst-Happel-Stadion, known as Praterstadion until 1992, sometimes also called Wiener-Stadion, is a football stadium in Leopoldstadt, the 2nd district of Austria's capital Vienna. With 50,865 seats, it is the largest stadium in Austria. It was built between 1929 and 1931 for the second Workers' Olympiad to the design of German architect Otto Ernst Schweizer. The stadium was renamed in honour of Austrian footballer Ernst Happel following his death in 1992. The stadium hosted seven games in UEFA Euro 2008, including the final which saw Spain triumph over Germany.

The final tournament was to be contested by twelve teams, but five teams that later qualify withdrew from the tournament. Sweden qualified automatically as original hosts of the tournament but was among the teams that withdrew. The United States hosted the tournament instead and would have still automatically qualified as the defending world champions if Sweden did not withdraw from the tournament.
