The 2025 European Championship is the 17th European Championship in American football. The preliminary round will be played around Europe from early October to early November 2024. The final round will be played in 2/3 August and 25/26 October 2025. [1] [2] [3]

Level 1, first round

The first round was played around Europe between 12 and 27 October 2024. It saw 12 teams divided to four groups.

The 1957–58 European Cup was the third season of the European Cup, Europe's premier club football tournament. The competition was won by Real Madrid, who beat AC Milan 3–2 in the final, in extra time following a 2–2 draw after 90 minutes. This was Real Madrid's third European Cup title in a row. However, the 1957–58 season was marred by the air disaster in Munich, when eight Manchester United players died on their way home from Belgrade, after a 3–3 draw in the quarter-final second leg with Red Star Belgrade. The 1990–91 European Cup was the 36th season of the European Cup, a tournament for men's football clubs in nations affiliated to the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA). It was won for the first time by Red Star Belgrade on penalties in the final against Marseille; both were first-time finalists. This was only the second time that an Eastern European side had won the competition, after Steaua București of Romania in 1986. It was also the last tournament to be solely knock-out based, with a group stage added for the next season. Red Star won the tournament as the only Yugoslav club shortly before the breakup of Yugoslavia. This was also the last season to feature a team from East Germany, since the East and its West counterpart reunified in October 1990.

The Israel women's national football team represents Israel in international women's football. The Israel women's national football team was established in 1997. Women's football in Israel was developed as an upside down pyramid by first opening the national team and then after 2 years opening the first women's football league in Israel. Women's Football in Israel is struggling to develop because it is lacking investment.

The 1995 Amsterdam Admirals season was the inaugural season for the franchise in the World League of American Football (WLAF). The team was led by head coach Al Luginbill, and played its home games at Olympisch Stadion and De Meer Stadion in Amsterdam, Netherlands. They finished the regular season in first place with a record of nine wins and one loss. In World Bowl '95, Amsterdam lost to the Frankfurt Galaxy 26–22.

The 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup qualification UEFA Group 7 was a UEFA qualifying group for the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup. The group comprised Austria, Bulgaria, Finland, France, Hungary and Kazakhstan.

The 2020–21 UEFA Champions League qualifying phase and play-off round began on 8 August and ended on 30 September 2020.

The 2021–22 UEFA Champions League qualifying phase and play-off round began on 22 June and ended on 25 August 2021.

The 2021–22 UEFA Youth League Domestic Champions Path began on 28 September and ended on 8 December 2021. A total of 32 teams competed in the Domestic Champions Path to decide eight of the 24 places in the knockout phase of the 2021–22 UEFA Youth League.

The 1991–92 European Cup first round was the first stage of the 1991–92 European Cup competition, and featured 32 teams entering the competition. It began on 17 September with the first legs and ended on 2 October 1991 with the second legs. The 16 winners advanced to the second round.

The 2022–23 UEFA Europa Conference League group stage began on 8 September 2022 and ended on 3 November 2022. A total of 32 teams competed in the group stage to decide 8 of the 16 places in the knockout phase of the 2022–23 UEFA Europa Conference League.

The 2022–23 UEFA Europa League knockout phase began on 16 February with the knockout round play-offs and ended on 31 May 2023 with the final at the Puskás Aréna in Budapest, Hungary, to decide the champions of the 2022–23 UEFA Europa League. A total of 24 teams competed in the knockout phase.

The 2022–23 UEFA Youth League Domestic Champions Path began on 12 September and ended on 2 November 2022. A total of 32 teams competed in the Domestic Champions Path to decide eight of the 24 places in the knockout phase of the 2022–23 UEFA Youth League.

The 2023 European Championship was the 16th European Championship in American football. The preliminary round was played around Europe from 8 October to 5 November 2022. The final round was played in August and October 2023.

The 2021 European Championship was the 15th European Championship in American football. The preliminary round has been played around Europe from 21 September to 2 November 2019. The final round was scheduled to be played in 2020, but due to the COVID-pandemic it was postponed to 2021, and was played in August and October 2021. In 2021 6 out of the scheduled 12 games has not been played, including the semi-final between reigning champion France and Italy.
