The 2014 Latin American Series was the second edition of the Latin American Series, a baseball sporting event played by the champions of the professional winter leagues that make up the Latin American Professional Baseball Association (ALBP). [1]

The competition took place at Estadio Dieciocho de Junio in Montería, Colombia from January 28 to February 1, 2014.

The Vaqueros de Montería are a baseball team in the Colombian Professional Baseball League (LPB), playing in the Caribbean city of Montería, Córdoba. The modern incarnation of the team was founded in 2019 and won the league championship in its inaugural season; it was also the first Colombian team to be invited to the Caribbean Series. Vaqueros also won the LPB championship in the 2022–23 season, defeating Tigres de Cartagena.

The Intercontinental Professional Baseball Series was a planned international club tournament to be contested by winter league professional baseball teams, as an alternative to the Caribbean Series. The first edition was scheduled to take place in from January 26 to February 1, 2024, in Barranquilla, Colombia, but was ultimately cancelled.

The Gigantes de Rivas are a professional baseball team based in Rivas, Nicaragua. They compete in the Nicaraguan Professional Baseball League (LBPN). The team plays at the Estadio Yamil Ríos Ugarte. Established in 2013, the club has won the LBPN title four times in 2014, 2016, 2021 and 2024. The Gigantes also won the 2016 Latin American Series, becoming the first Nicaraguan team to win the Latin American Series.

The Caribbean Professional Baseball Confederation, or CPBC, is the body responsible for organizing the Caribbean Series, an annual club baseball tournament contested by the winter league baseball champions of the Caribbean and Latin American region. Four professional winter leagues are full members of the CPBC, and various others have been invited to participate in the tournament. It also administers the Caribbean Baseball Hall of Fame.
