The 2014 Tour of Turkey was the 50th edition of the Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey cycling stage race. It was held from 27 April to 4 May 2014, and was won by Adam Yates. British cyclist Mark Cavendish won four stages and the points classification. [2]

Peter Sagan is a Slovak professional cyclist, who competes in road bicycle racing for UCI Continental team RRK Group–Pierre Baguette–Benzinol. Sagan had a successful junior cyclo-cross and mountain bike racing career, winning the junior cross-country race at the 2008 UCI Mountain Bike & Trials World Championships, before moving to road racing. The 2011 Tour of Turkey is the 47th edition of the Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey cycling stage race. It is being held from 24 April–1 May 2011, and is rated as a 2.HC event on the UCI Europe Tour. The last edition was won by ISD–NERI's rider Giovanni Visconti. Also Turkish 2 cycling teams, Manisaspor and Konya Şekerspor debuted in this race.

The 2012 Tour of Turkey was the 48th edition of the Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey cycling stage race. It was held from 22 April–29 April 2012, and was rated as a 2.HC event on the UCI Europe Tour. Bulgarian Ivailo Gabrovski originally won the race after dominating the third stage, but was later found to have used EPO and was disqualified. It was officially announced in October 2012 that the winner of the Tour of Turkey is Alexsandr Dyachenko of Astana.

The 2013 Tirreno–Adriatico was the 48th edition of the Tirreno–Adriatico cycling stage race, often known as the Race of the Two Seas. It started on 6 March in San Vincenzo and ended on 12 March in San Benedetto del Tronto and consisted of seven stages, including a race-commencing team time trial and a race-concluding individual time trial. It was the third race of the 2013 UCI World Tour season.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Simon Yates (cyclist)</span> British road and track racing cyclist

Simon Philip Yates is a British professional road and track racing cyclist who rides for UCI WorldTeam Team Jayco–AlUla. His twin brother is Adam Yates, who is also a professional cyclist. He won the gold medal in the points race at the 2013 Track Cycling World Championships. Following a doping ban in 2016, he won the young rider classification in the 2017 Tour de France and the general classification in the 2018 Vuelta a España. Yates has taken more than thirty professional victories, including ten Grand Tour stage victories – six at the Giro d'Italia and two each at the Tour de France and the Vuelta a España.

The 2013 Tour of Turkey was the 49th edition of the Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey cycling stage race. It was held from 21 April to 28 April 2013, and was rated as a 2.HC event on the UCI Europe Tour. In early 2014 Turkish Cycling Federation disqualified the original winner Mustafa Sayar and announced Natnael Berhane's victory.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2013 Giro d'Italia, Stage 1 to Stage 11</span>

The 2013 Giro d'Italia began on 4 May, and stage 11 occurred on 15 May. The 2013 edition began with a road stage, for the first time since 2003, around Naples before a team time trial took place the following day on the island of Ischia. The rest of the opening half of the race – remaining within Italy for the duration – consisted of medium-mountain stages, save for two categorised flat stages and the first of two individual time trials during the event; the 54.8 km (34.1 mi)-long eighth stage between Gabicce Mare and Saltara, where each remaining member of the starting peloton of 207 riders competed against the clock.

The 2013 Critérium du Dauphiné was the sixty-fifth running of the Critérium du Dauphiné cycling stage race; a race, organised by the Amaury Sport Organisation, rated as a World Tour event on the UCI calendar, the highest classification such an event can have. The race consisted of eight stages, beginning in Champéry on 2 June – the first such start for the race in Switzerland – and concluding in Risoul on 9 June, and was the sixteenth race of the 2013 UCI World Tour season. The Dauphiné was viewed as a great preparation for July's Tour de France and a number of the contenders for the general classification of the Tour participated in the Dauphiné. It featured mountainous stages as well as an individual time trial similar in length to the Tour.

Adam Richard Yates is a British professional road and track racing cyclist who rides for UCI WorldTeam UAE Team Emirates. Yates placed fourth overall at the 2016 Tour de France and became the first British rider to win the young rider classification, one year ahead of his twin brother Simon Yates.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Fernando Gaviria</span> Colombian road racing cyclist

Fernando Gaviria Rendón is a Colombian professional road and track racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam Movistar Team. He is well known as a sprinter. Riding for the Colombian national cycling team, Gaviria came to international attention at the 2015 Tour de San Luis, where he beat former world champion Mark Cavendish in two sprint finishes. His first major Grand Tour wins came at the 2017 Giro d'Italia. He is the brother of track cyclist Juliana Gaviria. His nickname is "Quetzal splendente", from the brightful and colourful South American bird Quetzal. Its colours recall his world championship titles, his Colombia and "la maglia Ciclamino" won at Giro d'Italia.

The 2015 Tour of Turkey was the 51st edition of the Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey cycling stage race. It started on 26 April in Alanya and finished on 3 May in Istanbul.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2019 Tour de France</span> Cycling race

The 2019 Tour de France was the 106th edition of the Tour de France, one of cycling's three Grand Tours. The 3,365.8 km (2,091 mi)-long race consisted of 21 stages, starting in the Belgian capital of Brussels on 6 July, before moving throughout France and concluding on the Champs-Élysées in Paris on 28 July. A total of 176 riders from 22 teams participated in the race. The overall general classification was won for the first time by a Latin American rider, Egan Bernal of Team Ineos. His teammate and 2018 Tour winner Geraint Thomas finished second while Steven Kruijswijk came in third.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2019 Giro d'Italia</span> Cycling race

The 2019 Giro d'Italia was a three-week Grand Tour cycling stage race organised by RCS Sport that took place mainly in Italy, between 11 May and 2 June 2019. The race was the 102nd edition of the Giro d'Italia and was the first Grand Tour of the 2019 cycling season. The race started with an individual time trial in Bologna, and finished with another time-trial in Verona. The race was won by Richard Carapaz, who became the first Ecuadorian rider to win the Giro d'Italia. Italian Vincenzo Nibali finished 2nd, with Slovenian rider Primož Roglič in 3rd place. Carapaz also became the second South American rider to win the Giro, after Nairo Quintana in 2014.

The 2021 Presidential Tour of Turkey was a road cycling stage race that took place between 11 and 18 April 2021 in Turkey. It was the 56th edition of the Presidential Tour of Turkey. The race has previously been a part of the UCI World Tour up until 2019, but it was relegated in 2020. This edition was the race's first as a 2.Pro event on the UCI ProSeries and UCI Europe Tour calendars since its demotion, with the 2020 edition having been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 2022 Presidential Tour of Turkey was a road cycling stage race held between 10 and 17 April 2022 in Turkey. It was the 57th edition of the Presidential Tour of Turkey.

The 2022 ZLM Tour was the 33rd edition of the ZLM Tour cycling stage race. It started on 8 June in Kapelle and ended on 12 June in Rijsbergen and was part of the 2022 UCI ProSeries.

The 2023 Presidential Tour of Turkey was a road cycling stage race that was held between 8th and 15 October 2023 in Turkey. It was the 58th edition of the Presidential Tour of Turkey.
