The 2014 Travelers Men's NOCA Provincials , the provincial men's curling championship for Northern Ontario, were held from February 5 to 10 at the McIntyre Curling Club in Schumacher, Ontario. The winning Jeff Currie rink represented Northern Ontario at the 2014 Tim Hortons Brier in Kamloops.

The defending champion Brad Jacobs rink did not participate in the event, as they are representing Canada at the 2014 Winter Olympics.

The 2023 Viterra Championship, Manitoba's provincial men's curling championship, was held from February 8 to 12 at the Yellowstone Community Recreation Centre in Neepawa, Manitoba. The winning Matt Dunstone rink represented Manitoba at the 2023 Tim Hortons Brier in London, Ontario where they finished with a silver medal after losing in the final to Team Canada 7–5. The only two losses in the Brier by the Dunstone rink came against Team Canada.

The winning Kevin Koe rink represented Alberta at the 2023 Tim Hortons Brier in London, Ontario where after placing second in Pool A with a 7–1 record, they lost in the Championship round semifinal to Ontario 9–8.
