Mike Jeffrey McCarville [3] is a Canadian curler from Thunder Bay, Ontario. [4] He currently plays third on Team Trevor Bonot.
McCarville played lead for Team Northern Ontario, skipped by Joe Scharf, at the Canadian Junior Curling Championships in 1999 and 2000, finishing with a 7–5 record and missing playoffs both times. [5] [6] In 2014, he won the Northern Ontario Men's Provincials as the third for Jeff Currie, qualifying for the 2014 Tim Hortons Brier. [7] There, the team finished with a 2–9 record. [8] On the World Curling Tour, McCarville has won the 2013 Bernick's Miller Lite Open. [9]
McCarville has represented Northern Ontario in three Canadian Mixed Curling Championships, playing second each time. In 2005, his team, skipped by Joe Scharf, finished with a 5–6 record and out of playoffs. [10] In 2008, he played for skip Mike Assad, finishing with a 6–5 record and out of playoffs. [11] In 2019, he played for Trevor Bonot and finished the round robin with a 3–3 record, failing to advance to the championship pool. [12] They finished the seeding pool with a 5–4 record. [13] McCarville also won a sportsmanship award at the 2019 championship. [14]
McCarville is married to curler Krista McCarville. [15] They have two children. He is employed as a high school math and biology teacher at St. Ignatius High School. [1] McCarville is of Indigenous descent. [16]
John C. Morris is a Canadian curler, and two-time Olympic gold medallist from Canmore, Alberta. Morris played third for the Kevin Martin team until April 24, 2013. Morris, author of the book Fit to Curl, is the son of Maureen and Earle Morris, inventor of the "Stabilizer" curling broom. Morris grew up in Gloucester, Ontario and at the age of five began curling at the Navy Curling Club.
Krista Lee McCarville is a Canadian curler from Thunder Bay, Ontario. McCarville is a four-time Northern Ontario junior champion, the 2003 Winter Universiade silver medallist, a four-time Ontario provincial champion, a four-time Northern Ontario provincial champion, and a two-time Canadian national medallist.

Tracy Fleury is a Canadian curler from Sudbury, Ontario. She joined the Rachel Homan rink as skip for the 2022–23 season, and now plays third on the team. With Homan, she won the 2024 Scotties Tournament of Hearts and later the 2024 World Women's Curling Championship representing Team Canada. In 2021, she led her team to a silver medal at the 2021 Canadian Olympic Curling Trials. She has competed at the Canadian national championship seven times and was the Northern Ontario women's junior champion skip from 2005 to 2007.
John Allan Epping is a Canadian curler from Toronto, Ontario. He currently skips his own team out of the Leaside Curling Club in East York, Toronto.
Reid Carruthers is a Canadian curler from Winnipeg, Manitoba. Carruthers was the 2011 world champion—winning gold as a second on Jeff Stoughton's team—as well as an eight-time provincial champion, the 2003 junior provincial champion, and the 2008 Manitoba provincial mixed champion. He coaches the Kerri Einarson women's team.

In Gates' first appearance at the Scotties, she won the Marj Mitchell Sportsmanship Award.

The Fort William Curling Club is a curling club located in the Downtown Fort William neighbourhood of Thunder Bay, Ontario. The club hosted the Canadian men's curling championship in 1960 and the Canadian women's curling championship in 1969. It is also the home club of World Men's curling champions Al Hackner, Rick Lang, Bob Nicol, Bruce Kennedy, Ian Tetley, and Pat Perroud.
