The 2014 İstanbul Cup was a women's tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It was the 7th edition of the İstanbul Cup, and was part of the WTA International tournaments of the 2014 WTA Tour. It took place in Istanbul, Turkey, from 14 July through 20 July 2014. This was the first edition of the tournament since 2010. The event was not held in 2011–2013 because the WTA Tour Championships were held in İstanbul during those years. Caroline Wozniacki won the singles title.

Elina Svitolina was the defending champion, and successfully defended her title, defeating Bojana Jovanovski in the final 6–1, 7–6(7–2).

Simona Halep was the defending champion, but she chose not to participate this year.

Victoria Azarenka defeated Svetlana Kuznetsova in the final, 6–3, 6–2 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2016 Miami Open. She became the first woman since Kim Clijsters in 2005 to win Indian Wells and Miami back to back, and became only the third woman in history, after Steffi Graf and Clijsters, to complete the 'Sunshine Double' in singles.

It was Vesnina's first WTA 1000 singles title and the last singles title of her career. This was the second all-Russian final in tournament history, following the 2006 edition.
