The 2015 African Amateur Boxing Championships were held at the Mohammed V Athletic Center in Casablanca, Morocco from 18 to 23 August 2015. It was the 18th edition of this event organised by the African governing body for amateur boxing, the African Boxing Confederation (AFBC).

She became the first Indian female boxer to win a gold medal in the Asian Games in 2014 at Incheon, South Korea and is the first Indian female boxer to win gold at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. She is also the only boxer to become Asian Amateur Boxing Champion for a record six times. Mary Kom won the 51kg gold in President's Cup in Indonesia.

Ait Hammi Miloud is a Moroccan Olympic boxer. He participated in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece.

Devendro Singh Laishram, also known as Devendro Singh or Devendro Laishram, is an Indian boxer from Imphal West district, Manipur who competes in the light-flyweight division. Devendro represented India at the 2012 Summer Olympics and lost out in the quarter-finals in a tough bout against the eventual bronze medalist Irish boxer Paddy Barnes. Devendro qualified for the Olympics after reaching the quarter-finals of the 2011 World Amateur Boxing Championships in Baku. In 2013 Devendro won the silver medal at the Asian Confederation Boxing Championship. In August 2014 he won the silver medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. <span class="mw-page-title-main">Boxing at the 2016 Summer Olympics</span> Boxing competitions

The boxing tournaments at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro took place from 6 to 21 August 2016 at the Pavilion 6 of Riocentro. However, boxing at the games was overshadowed with controversy after there were doubts raised that results in certain bouts had been manipulated. These concerns were upheld in a report published in 2021.

Boxing in Armenia is a popular sport, that existed in the Armenian Highland since ancient times. Amateur boxing schools in the country appeared in early 1900s, by the mid-1950s boxing became one of the traditional sports in Armenia. In 1956, Vladimir Yengibaryan won a gold medal at the Olympics for the Soviet team. In the early 21st century, professional and amateur boxing in Armenia reached another peak. Most notably Arthur Abraham and Vic Darchinyan won several professional world champion titles. Dozens of amateur boxers have been placed in the top 3 of world and European competitions for various weight categories. Vladimir Yengibarian was among the first individuals to open professional boxing schools in Armenia. The sport is regulated by the Armenian Boxing Federation.

Merven Clair is a Mauritian boxer. He competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in the men's middleweight event, in which he was eliminated in the first round by Hosam Bakr Abdin. He also competed at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in the welterweight class where he was also eliminated in the first round, that time by Kenya's Rayton Okwiri. At the 68th edition of the Strandja Memorial in February 2017, he placed third after a defeat in the semifinals to eventual tournament winner Pat McCormack. At the 2017 African Boxing Championships in Brazzaville, Clair secured a silver medal in the 69 kg weight class, suffering his only defeat of the tournament in the final against Muzamiru Kakande from Uganda. He won the gold medal at the 2019 African Games in Rabat, Morocco in the welterweight class by defeating the Nigerian boxer Abdulafeez Osoba in the final. At the 2020 African Boxing Olympic Qualification Tournament, he was defeated in the quarterfinals by Stephen Zimba by referee stoppage in the second round.

Jean Jordy Vadamootoo, known as Jordy Vadamootoo, is a Mauritian amateur boxer who won a bantamweight gold medal at the 2017 African Championships and competed at the 2017 World Championships.

Yousry Hafez is an Egyptian amateur boxer who competed at the 2017 and 2019 World Championships. He has also won gold medals at the 2018 Mediterranean Games and 2019 African Games.

Nadine Apetz is a German amateur boxer. She won bronze medals at the World Championships in 2016 and 2018, and gold at the 2017 EU Championships. In 2021, she became the first German woman to qualify for a boxing event at the Summer Olympic Games.

Sigyel Phub is a Bhutanese former amateur boxer. He competed at the 2013 World Championships as well as two editions of the Asian Games in 2010 and 2014.

Oumaïma Belahbib, also known as Oumayma Belahbib or Oumayma Bel Ahbib, is a Moroccan amateur boxer, who won a gold medal at the 2017 African Amateur Boxing Championships, and a bronze medal at the 2019 African Games. She has competed in the welterweight event at the delayed 2020 Summer Olympics.

The 2017 African Amateur Boxing Championships were held in Brazzaville, Republic of the Congo from 18 to 25 June 2017. It was the 19th edition of this event organised by the African governing body for amateur boxing, the African Boxing Confederation (AFBC).
