The 2015 Auburn Tigers softball team was an American softball team that represented the Auburn University for the 2015 NCAA softball season. In 2014, the Auburn Tigers softball team went 42-19-1 during Clint Myers first season. The Auburn Tigers played their home games at Jane B. Moore Field.

Auburn made it to its first 2015 SEC softball tournament Championship Final on May 9, 2015, held at Tiger Park in Baton Rouge, LA, and defeated #11 Tennessee in extra innings to collect its first SEC Championship in Softball.

Auburn garnered a #4 seed in the 2015 NCAA Division I softball tournament, and hosted a regional and super regional at Jane B. Moore Field in Auburn, AL. Auburn won both the regional and super regional and advanced to their first 2015 Women's College World Series at the ASA Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City, OK.

Kasey Marie Cooper is an American former softball player and third baseman. Cooper played college softball at Auburn, in which entering her senior season held almost every offensive record for the Tigers. Cooper also played for the United States women's national softball team, and won a gold medal with the team at the 2016 Women's Softball World Championship and a silver medal at the 2016 World Cup of Softball.

Clemson Tigers softball joined the Atlantic Coast Conference as a Division I varsity program in 2020. In November 2017, former Stanford coach John Rittman was named as Clemson's first head softball coach. Rittman spent the previous two years as an assistant coach at Kansas and USA Softball.

Kelly Katlyn Barnhill is an American professional softball pitcher. She played college softball for the Florida Gators from 2016 to 2019, earning All-American honors during her tenure with the team. She was named the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year, Honda Sports Award, and espnW Player of the Year in 2017. She is the career no hitters (7), strikeouts, strikeout ratio (10.5) and WHIP leader for the Gators. She also ranks in career strikeout ratio for both the Southeastern Conference and the NCAA Division I.

Emily Patricia Carosone is an Italian-American former professional softball player and coach. Carosone later joined the Italy women's national softball team and competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics.

The 2023 SEC softball season began play Thursday, February 9, and conference play began on Friday, March 10. Tennessee clinched the regular season conference championship on May 6. Tennessee also won the 2023 Southeastern Conference softball tournament which took place from May 9–13 at Bogle Park in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Vanderbilt University is the only full member of the Southeastern Conference to not sponsor a softball program. Of the 13 teams in the SEC, 12 played in the NCAA tournament. Of the top 16 seeds hosting Regionals, five are from the SEC. Three of the five win their Regionals, being the only SEC teams to win Regionals. Two of the three win their Super Regionals and advance to the 2023 Women's College World Series (WCWS).

The 2024 SEC softball season began play Thursday, February 8, and conference play begins on Friday, March 8. The 2024 Southeastern Conference softball tournament takes place May 7–11 at Jane B. Moore Field in Auburn, Alabama. Vanderbilt University is the only full member of the Southeastern Conference to not sponsor a softball program.
