Japanese Formula 3 Championship was a national motor racing championship that takes place in Japan. It is a junior-level feeder formula that uses small single seater Formula Three chassis.

The 2011 Japanese Formula 3 Championship was the 33rd edition of the Japanese Formula 3 Championship. It commenced on May 14 at Suzuka and ended on September 24 at Sportsland SUGO after 16 races held at seven race meetings. It had been due to start there on 16 April, but was delayed due to the Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan in March.

The 2012 Japanese Formula 3 Championship was an open wheel motor racing series held for Formula 3 cars based in Japan. It was the 34th edition of the Japanese Formula 3 Championship. The 2013 Japanese Formula 3 Championship was the 35th edition of the Japanese Formula 3 Championship. It was the first Formula Three championship that accepted new FIA Formula 3 engine rules.

The 2014 Japanese Formula 3 Championship was the 36th edition of the Japanese Formula 3 Championship. It was held over 7 rounds and a total of 15 races, commencing on 12 April at Suzuka and culminating on 12 October at Fuji Speedway.

The 2015 Autobacs Super GT Series was the twenty-third season of the Japan Automobile Federation Super GT Championship including the All Japan Grand Touring Car Championship (JGTC) era, and the eleventh season under the name Super GT. It marked the thirty-third season overall of a Japanese professional sportscar championship dating back to the All Japan Sports Prototype Championship. The season began on April 5 and ended on November 15, after 8 races.

The 2015 F4 Japanese Championship was the inaugural season of the F4 Japanese Championship. It began on 4 April in Okayama and finished on 15 November on Twin Ring Motegi after seven double header rounds.

The 2020 Formula Regional Japanese Championship was a multi-event, Formula 3 open-wheel single seater motor racing championship held in Japan. The drivers were competing in Formula Regional cars that conform to the FIA Formula Regional regulations for the championship. This was the inaugural season of the championship, and was promoted by K2 Planet.

The 2020 F4 Japanese Championship season was the sixth season of the F4 Japanese Championship. It was competed with 12 races over four triple-header rounds.

The 2021 Super Formula Lights Championship was the second Super Formula Lights Championship season, after the Japanese Formula 3 Championship was rebranded following the end of the 2019 season. It featured drivers competing in Formula 3 cars with Dallara 320 chassis and with engines made by three different manufacturers, a similar regulation format to the Euroformula Open Championship.

HELM Motorpsorts is a racing team founded and owned by racing driver brothers Yuya and Reiji Hiraki. The team competes in the GT300 class of Super GT as well as in F4 Japanese Championship, and Formula Regional Japanese Championship. The team also competed before in Super Taikyu, and won the title in 2022.
