The 2015 Red Bull Air Race of Rovinj was the third round of the 2015 Red Bull Air Race World Championship season, the tenth season of the Red Bull Air Race World Championship. [1] The event was held in Rovinj, a coastal city in Croatia.
The Red Bull Air Race, established in 2003 and created by Red Bull GmbH, is an international series of air races in which competitors have to navigate a challenging obstacle course in the fastest time. Pilots fly individually against the clock and have to complete tight turns through a slalom course consisting of pylons, known as "Air Gates".
Rovinj is a city in Croatia situated on the north Adriatic Sea with a population of 14,294 (2011). Located on the western coast of the Istrian peninsula, it is a popular tourist resort and an active fishing port. Istriot, a Romance language once widely spoken in this part of Istria, is still spoken by some of the residents. The town is officially bilingual, Italian and Croatian, hence both town names are official and equal.

The race was won by Austria's Hannes Arch by 0.071 seconds from Martin Šonka, with Matt Hall in third, 0.148 seconds down on Arch's time.
Hannes Arch was an Austrian pilot who competed in the Red Bull Air Race World Championship from 2007 to 2016. Arch won the World Championship in the 2008 season.
Martin Šonka is a Czech aerobatics (unlimited) and a former fighter pilot in the Czech Air Force. He has raced in Red Bull Air Race World Championship since 2010, becoming the World Champion in the 2018 Red Bull Air Race World Championship season.
