The 2015 Monster Energy FIM Speedway World Cup Race Off was the third race of the 2015 edition of the Speedway World Cup. It was run on June 11 at the Vojens Speedway Center in Vojens, Denmark and was won by Poland from Great Britain, the United States, and Russia. As a result, Poland progressed to the 2015 Speedway World Cup Final, where they will join hosts and defending champions Denmark, Event One winners Sweden and Event Two winners Australia. Great Britain finished second, but were eliminated from the competition along with the United States and Russia. [1]

The 2015 Monster Energy FIM Speedway World Cup (SWC) was the fifteenth FIM Speedway World Cup, the annual international speedway world championship tournament. It took place between 6 June and 14 June 2015 and involved nine national teams. It was won by Sweden, the first time they have achieved success since 2004. They beat hosts and defending champions Denmark by two points, while Poland edged out Australia to claim third.

The Speedway World Cup was an annual speedway event held each year in different countries. The first edition of the competition in the current format was held in 2001 and replaced the old World Team Cup competition which was amalgamated with the World Pairs Championship. The last edition was in 2017. Since 2018, the World Cup has been replaced by the new Speedway of Nations, which effectively brings back the pairs format.

The Vojens Speedway Center is a Motorcycle speedway track located in Vojens, Denmark. The track has been part-owned since its opening by Denmark's first three time Speedway World Champion Ole Olsen.

Poland were led to victory by stand-in captain Maciej Janowski, and he was well supported by Krzysztof Buczkowski, Przemysław Pawlicki and Bartosz Zmarzlik, who all scored double figures. Great Britain's Tai Woffinden was the star of the meeting, scoring an unbeaten 21-point maximum. His haul was not enough for his country though, as they fell short of reaching the final by five points. Russia were forced to compete with just three riders after Artem Laguta fell ill and Grigory Laguta broke down en route to the track. [2]

Poland national speedway team

The Poland national speedway team is the national motorcycle speedway team of Poland and is controlled by the Polish Motor Union (PZM). The team is one of the major teams in international speedway and they won the Team World Championship nine times. The team has won 1971 Speedway World Pairs Championship also. Two Polish riders has won Individual World Champion title. The team is managed by Marek Cieślak, and the current captain is 2010 World Champion Tomasz Gollob.

Maciej Janowski Polish speedway rider

Maciej Janowski is a Polish speedway rider who is a member of Poland U-21 and U-19 national teams. He is current Team U-21 World Champion and Team U-19 European Champion.

Krzysztof Buczkowski Speedway rider

Krzysztof Buczkowski is a Polish speedway rider and has ridden for the Polish national junior team.
