Jesse Huta Galung was the defending champion. He was supposed to play in the main draw, however withdrew before his match against Alban Meuffels. Marek Michalička replaced him and reached the semifinals, where he lost to eventual champion Igor Sijsling.

The 2015 TEAN International was a professional tennis tournament played on outdoor clay courts. It was the 20th edition of the tournament which was part of the 2015 ATP Challenger Tour and the 15th edition of the tournament for the 2015 ITF Women's Circuit. It took place in Alphen aan den Rijn, Netherlands, on 7 – 13 September 2015.

Rafael Nadal defeated Gaël Monfils in the final, 7–5, 5–7, 6–0 to win the singles tennis title at the 2016 Monte-Carlo Masters. It was his record-extending ninth Monte-Carlo Masters title.
