The 2015 UEC European Track Championships (under-23 & junior) were the 15th continental championships for European under-23 and junior track cyclists, and the 6th since the event was renamed following the reorganisation of European track cycling in 2010. The event took place at the Athens Olympic Velodrome in Athens, Greece from 14 to 19 July 2015. [1]

Steven James Burke is a former English track and road cyclist, who rode for the now disbanded Team Wiggins Le Col cycling team. He represented Britain at the 2008 Summer Olympics, beating his pre Olympics personal best in the individual pursuit by eleven seconds, to take the bronze medal. He stood on the podium alongside his cycling idol, gold medallist Bradley Wiggins.

Specialising in the sprint events, Dmitriev's best result in international sports was winning a gold medal at the 2017 World Championships in Hong Kong. At the 2016 Summer Olympics he succeeded to the bronze medal race in sprint, winning the medal. Dmitriev is a four-time European Champion at senior level in the Sprint event for men, and the most successful sprint cyclist in the competitions's history.

The 2017 UEC European Track Championships was the eight edition of the elite UEC European Track Championships in track cycling and took place at the Velodrom in Berlin, Germany, between 19 and 22 October 2017. The event was organised by the European Cycling Union. All European champions were awarded the UEC European Champion jersey which could have been worn by the champion throughout the year when competing in the same event at other competitions.
