The 2015 Women's Futsal World Tournament was the sixth edition of the Women's Futsal World Tournament, the premier world championship for women's national futsal teams. The venue was Domo Polideportivo de la CDAG in Guatemala City. [1] The competition was won by Brazil, winner of all the editions disputed until then. [2] Iran's Niloufar Ardalan notably defied a travel ban to take part in the 2015 tournament [3] [4] after her husband did not approve of her leaving Iran. [5]

Asian Football Confederation Controlling body of football in Asia

AFC is one of the six confederations within FIFA and is the governing body of association football in Asia and Australia. It has 47 member countries, most of which are located in Asia. Australia, formerly in the OFC, joined the Asian Football Confederation in 2006. Niloofar Ardalan Iranian footballer

Niloofar Ardallani, known as Niloofar Ardalan, is an Iranian football and futsal player with the experience of playing in the Iranian women's national football team and the Iranian women's national futsal team who has been also the captaining in both teams. She has played for the Rah Ahan Football Club team as well as the Futsal Clubs teams of Tejarat Khane Bandar Abbas, Persepolis, and the Islamic Azad University of Tehran.

The first edition took place in 2010 in Spain and was won by Brazil. The tournament has known no other winner besides Brazil, after the country's victories in the first six editions.

2012 Womens Futsal World Tournament International football competition

The 2012 Women's Futsal World Tournament was the third edition of the Women's Futsal World Tournament, the premier world championship for women's national futsal teams. It was held in Oliveira de Azeméis, Portugal, from 3 to 9 December 2012, and matches were played at the Pavilhão Dr. Salvador Machado and Pavilhão Municipal de Oliveira de Azeméis.

The 2013 Women's Futsal World Tournament was the fourth edition of the Women's Futsal World Tournament, the premier world championship for women's national futsal teams. The competition was to be hosted in San Cristóbal, Táchira, Venezuela, but due to logistic problems, the competition was moved to Ciudad Real and Alcázar de San Juan, in Spain.

The 2014 Women's Futsal World Tournament was the fifth edition of the Women's Futsal World Tournament, the premier world championship for women's national futsal teams. The competition was to be hosted in Russia, but was moved to Hatillo District, in Costa Rica.

The FAI Futsal Cup is a cup competition organized by the Football Association of Ireland for futsal teams based in the Republic of Ireland. The winners qualify to represent the Republic of Ireland in the UEFA Futsal Cup. The competition was introduced in 2007 and the inaugural winners were Shamrock Rovers. The 2007 tournament was referred to as the Eircom U21 Futsal League and the 2008 and 2009 tournaments were referred to as the Futsal League of Ireland or the FAI National Futsal League. Since 2010 it has generally been referred to as the FAI Futsal Cup.

The Emerald Futsal League was a futsal league featuring teams based in the Republic of Ireland. It was initially planned that the league would develop into a full national league. However the vast majority of its member clubs are based in the Greater Dublin Area. It is effectively a provincial league and, as a result, is also referred to as the Emerald Futsal League (Leinster). The league was introduced in 2008 and the inaugural winners were Brasilforall. Teams from the league cannot automatically qualify for the UEFA Futsal Cup but can qualify by winning the FAI Futsal Cup.
