On 27 January 2015, Sharmarke appointed a new, smaller 20 minister cabinet of which Mohamed Omar Eymoy was replaced by Mohamed Omar Arte. On 6 February, Sharmarke finalized his cabinet, consisting of 26 ministers, 14 state ministers, and 26 deputy ministers of which Mohamed Omar Eymoy was reinstated but was now the Minister of Fisheries and Marine Resources. He has now been succeeded by Abdirahman Mohamed Abdi Hashi.

During her tenure, she has introduced a ban on female genital mutilation nationwide and worked on equal rights for men and women within Somalia. The daughter of Mohammad Ali Samatar, she belongs to the Tumal clan.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Hawo Hassan Mohamed</span>

Hawo Hassan Mohamed is a Somali politician. She belongs to the Hadamo subclan of the Rahanweyn. She is the former Minister of Health and Social Care of Somalia, having been appointed to the position on 27 January 2015 by the now former Prime Minister Omar Abdirashid Ali Sharmarke. Hawo Hassan Mohamed was subsequently sacked from her post as Minister of Health and Social Care by former Prime Minister Omar Abdirashid Ali Sharmarke and replaced with Mohamed Haji AbdiNur on 24 June 2016.

Khadra Bashir Ali was a Somali politician who served as Minister of Education of Somalia under Prime Minister Omar Abdirashid Ali Sharmarke from 2015 to 2016. Khadra died in October 2021.
