The 2016 Georgia State Panthers beach volleyball represented Georgia State University during the college beach volleyball season of 2016. The team's head coach was Beth Van Fleet in her third season at GSU. [1] The Panthers played their home games at the GSU Beach Volleyball Complex and competed in the Division I Coastal Collegiate Sports Association. The 2015 season was the first as an official NCAA sport, the designation being coordinated with a name change from sand volleyball to beach volleyball. [2] [3] The season was also the Panthers first in the CCSA, finishing in second place. [4] The Panthers were ranked in the official top 10 during the entire season, earning a spot as the 7th seed in the NCAA Tournament. [5]

The Georgia State Panthers represent the NCAA Division I sports teams of Georgia State University. Almost all GSU teams are members of the Sun Belt Conference, a conference of which they were a charter member. Previously, GSU was a member of the CAA, and prior to that, the ASUN Conference.

College of Charleston Cougars

The Charleston Cougars are the varsity intercollegiate athletic teams representing the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina. The Panthers will play in the Mid-American Conference effective with the fall 2021 season, following the demise of the men's soccer league of their full-time home of the Sun Belt Conference.

The 2017–18 Georgia State Panthers men's basketball team represented Georgia State University during the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team's head coach was Ron Hunter, who was in his seventh season at Georgia State. The Panthers played their home games at the GSU Sports Arena in Atlanta, Georgia as members of the Sun Belt Conference. They finished the season 24–11, 12–6 in Sun Belt play to finish the regular season in second place. The Panthers defeated Troy, Georgia Southern, and UT Arlington to become champions of the Sun Belt Tournament. As a result, they received the Sun Belt's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. As the No. 15 seed in the West region, they lost to Cincinnati in the First Round.

The team's head coach was Beth Van Fleet in her fifth season at GSU. Finishing with a 13–5 conference record, GSU won its third Sun Belt regular season championship in the last six years. The Panthers defeated Texas State, and UT Arlington to become champions of the Sun Belt Tournament. As a result, they received the Sun Belt's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

2019–20 Georgia State Panthers mens basketball team American college basketball season

The 2019–20 Georgia State Panthers men's basketball team represented Georgia State University during the 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team's head coach was Rob Lanier, who was coaching his first season at Georgia State. The Panthers played their home games at the GSU Sports Arena in Atlanta, Georgia as a member of the Sun Belt Conference. They finished the season 19–13, 12–8 in Sun Belt play to finish in a tie for fourth place. They were the No. 4 seed in the Sun Belt Tournament, where they lost to Georgia Southern.
