Foolad Mobarakeh Sepahan Sport Club, commonly known as Sepahan S.C., are an Iranian sports club based in Isfahan, best known for their association football branch that play in the Persian Gulf Pro League, the highest tier of Iranian football.
The Persian Gulf Pro League, formerly known as the Iran Pro League of the Persian Gulf Pro League is qualified for the AFC Champions League Play-off round. The bottom two teams in the league are relegated to Azadegan League. In the past, the format and number of teams were changed for various times. Persepolis is the most successful club with seven titles.
Yahya Golmohammadi is an Iranian former footballer and coach who is currently managing the Persian Gulf Pro League club Persepolis. He is one of only eight Iranians to score in a World Cup and he is the oldest player to score on his first World Cup start, who did so for Iran in 2006 against Mexico. His position was usually the central defender. He was a member of Iranian national football team and played most of his career in Persepolis. He previously managed some big clubs in Iran like Naft Tehran, Zob Ahan, Tractor Sazi and Padideh.
Zob Ahan Esfahan Football Club is an Iranian football club based in Fuladshahr, Iran. It competes in the Persian Gulf Pro League. The team is sponsored by the Isfahan Steel Company, which also goes by the name Zob Ahan. The club's main rival is fellow Isfahani team Sepahan, which is also sponsored by the rival steel mill Mobarakeh Steel Company.

The 2013 Hazfi Cup Final was the 26th final since 1975. The match was the Iran's El-classico between Persepolis and Sepahan. This was the clubs' second meeting in the final where Sepahan won 4–2 over Persepolis in the penalties in 2006. The match was also the last match of Persepolis captain Mehdi Mahdavikia, a former Iran national football team and Hamburg SV midfielder. Sepahan won Persepolis for another time in penalties and crowned their 4th domestic cup title. Sepahan was qualified for the group stage of the 2014 AFC Champions League.

The match was played on 1 June 2015 and was the final match of the competition. Zob Ahan won 3–1 and won their third title in the competition. They also qualified for the group stages of the 2016 AFC Champions League.

The 2016–17 Hazfi Cup was the 30th season of the Iranian football knockout competition. Zob Ahan Isfahan, the defending champions, were eliminated by Tractor Sazi in the semi final in extra time. The competition started on 12 September 2016, and the final was played on 11 May 2017. Naft Tehran defeated Tractor Sazi at the final and earned their first title.
The 2017 Hazfi Cup Final was the 30th final since 1975. Both teams were in poor form in the domestic league, the Hazfi cup final was the door to the AFC Champions League group-stage. If Tractor Sazi won, it meant that Naft Tehran would go to the AFC Champions League play-offs, and it would be the opposite if Naft Tehran won. Both sides were coached by one of the best Iranian coaches; Ali Daei and Amir Ghalenoei. The game was fairly dominated by Tractor Sazi but they missed most of their chances and a 27th-minute penalty miss certainly brought hope to Naft Tehran players. Naft Tehran proved the football match is 90 minutes and battled until the last chance, Sajjad Shahbazzadeh's 88th-minute goal made Naft Tehran clinch the title.
