2022 Hazfi Cup Final was the final match of the 35th edition of Hazfi Cup that was held between Nassaji Mazandaran and Aluminium Arak at Azadi Stadium in Tehran on 27 April 2022. [2]

Contents

Originally, the final was planned to be held at Yadegar-e Emam Stadium in Tabriz on above date. [3] [4] However, the protest of the two clubs due to the distance between Qaemshahr and Arak to Tabriz caused the decision of the league organization to be changed. [5] After the official and written protest of the two clubs of Arak and Mazandaran, these protests were examined by the Iran Football League Organization (by order of the Minister Hamid Sajjadi) and they announced that their request for holding the final match in Azadi Stadium has been accepted. [6]

Nassaji Mazandaran defeated Aluminium Arak 1–0 to celebrate the first championship in the history of their club and also Hazfi Cup. [7]

The 2011–12 Hazfi Cup was the 25th season of the Iranian football knockout competition. Persepolis were the defending champion but were eliminated by Esteghlal in the quarter-finals; The fourth consecutive wins for Esteghlal against Persepolis in official matches. The competition began on September 12, 2011 and was end on March 15, 2012. Esteghlal beat Shahin Bushehr 4–1 on penalties and was qualified for the group stage of the 2013 AFC Champions League.

The 2017–18 Hazfi Shield Cup was the 31st season of the Iranian football knockout competition. The competition begin in August 2017 and the final was played on May 3, 2018. Mehdi Sharifi, then center forward for Persian side Tractor SC was the Cup's top scorer with five goals. The Cup was won by Esteghla FC in a 1–0 victory over Khooneh Be Khooneh. The Finals only goal was scored by Mame Thiam, an Esteghlal forward in the 35' minute of the game. This was Esteghlal seventh Hazfi Cup title.

The 2019–20 Hazfi Cup was the 33rd season of the Iranian football knockout competition.

The 2020–21 season is the Tractor Sport Club's 13th season in the Pro League, and their 12th consecutive season in the top division of Iranian Football. They are also competing in the Hazfi Cup, Super Cup and AFC Champions League.

The 2021 Hazfi Cup was the 34th season of the Iranian football knockout competition. Foolad won the competition after deafiting Esteghlal in the final.

The 2021-22 Hazfi Cup is the 35th season of the Iranian football knockout competition. Nassaji Mazandaran won the competition after deafiting Aluminium Arak in the final.

The 2022–23 Esteghlal Football Club season is the 77th season and the club's 29th consecutive season in the top flight of Iranian football. In addition to the domestic league, Esteghlal are participating in this season's editions of the Hazfi Cup, and the Iranian Super Cup.

The 2022 Iranian Super Cup was the 8th Iranian Super Cup, an annual football match played between the winners of the previous season's Persian Gulf Pro League, Esteghlal, and the previous season's Hazfi Cup, Nassaji. It was played on 2 November 2022 at the Shahid Bahonar Stadium, Kerman.

The 2022–23 Hazfi Cup is the 36th season of the Iranian football knockout competition. The champion of this competition will get a license to participate in the Super Cup and the AFC Champions League next season.
