The David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex, also known as Mack Sports Complex, or just "The Mack" for short, is a 5,023-seat multi-purpose arena in Hempstead, New York. Replacing the Hofstra Physical Fitness Center, the arena opened on January 2, 2000, as Hofstra Arena and was renamed for Mack in 2006.
The Hofstra Pride are composed of 17 teams representing Hofstra University in intercollegiate athletics, including men and women’s basketball, cross-country running, golf, lacrosse, soccer, tennis and track and field. Men’s sports include baseball and wrestling. Women’s sports include volleyball, field hockey, and softball. The Pride compete in the NCAA Division I and have been members of the Colonial Athletic Association in most sports since 2001. They were previously members of the America East Conference.
The Hofstra Pride football program was the intercollegiate American football team for Hofstra University, located on Long Island in Hempstead, New York. Hofstra competed in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) and were members of the Colonial Athletic Association. Its first football team was fielded in 1937, and the program compiled a 403–268–11 (.599) record through 2009.

The Hofstra Pride softball team represents Hofstra University in NCAA Division I college softball. The team belongs to the Colonial Athletic Association and plays home games at Bill Edwards Stadium, which was named in honor of longtime coach Bill Edwards in 2015. The Pride have gone to the NCAA Tournament seventeen times, with their best finish being a Super Regionals Appearance in 2012, losing to South Florida by just one run to miss a spot in the Women's College World Series.
The 2015 Hofstra Pride softball team represented Hofstra University in the 2015 NCAA Division I softball season. The Pride competed in the Colonial Athletic Association and were led by first-year head coach Larissa Anderson. Hofstra played its home games at the Hofstra Softball Stadium in Hempstead, New York. Head coach and NFCA Hall of Fame member Bill Edwards retired after the 2014 season, and chose associate head coach Larissa Anderson to be his successor. On April 19, 2015, the stadium was renamed in his honor.

The 2015 Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) softball tournament was held at Veterans Memorial Park on the campus of James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia from May 6 through May 8, 2015. Hofstra won the tournament, beating the top seeded James Madison Dukes and earning the CAA's automatic bid to the 2015 NCAA Division I softball tournament. The entire tournament was aired on CAA.TV with the championship being broadcast on TV on American Sports Network.
Jay Miller is the former head coach of the Hofstra Pride softball team which represents Hofstra University in the Colonial Athletic Association. He was previously head coach of the softball teams at Purdue, Oklahoma City, Missouri, and Mississippi State.
The 2015–16 Hofstra Pride men's basketball team represents Hofstra University during the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Pride, led by third year head coach Joe Mihalich, play their home games at Mack Sports Complex and were members of the Colonial Athletic Association. They finished the season 24–10, 14–4 in CAA play to finish in a tie for the CAA championship with UNC Wilmington. They advanced to the championship game of the CAA tournament where they lost to UNC Wilmington. As a regular season champion who failed to win their league tournament, they received an automatic bid to the National Invitation Tournament where they lost in the first round to George Washington.

Juan'ya Green is an American basketball player, most recently as a member of Al Sadd in the Qatari Basketball League. He completed his college career in 2016 after having split his career playing for Niagara University and Hofstra University. Green went unselected in the ensuing 2016 NBA draft.

The six-team single-elimination tournament consisted of three rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The defending champions were the Northeastern Huskies, but they failed to defend their title, losing 2–1 to the Hofstra Pride in the final. The conference tournament title was the fourth for the Hofstra women's soccer program and the third for head coach Simon Riddiough.

The Hofstra Pride won the tournament by defeating Northeastern 2–1 in the final. The conference tournament title was the seventh overall for the Hofstra women's soccer program and the sixth overall for head coach Simon Riddiough. The defending champions were the James Madison Dukes. They were unable to defend their crown as they were under a post season ban from the CAA. The Hofstra Pride won the tournament by defeating Elon 3–2 in the final. The conference tournament title was the fifth overall for the Hofstra men's soccer program all of which have come under head coach Richard Nuttall. As tournament champions, Hofstra earned the CAA's automatic berth into the 2021 NCAA Division I men's soccer tournament.
