The Kasganj level crossing disaster was the crash of a passenger bus with an express train near the town of Kasganj in Uttar Pradesh, India on 4 June 2002.
Aeroflot Flight 3519 was a Tupolev Tu-154B-2 airline flight on a domestic route from Krasnoyarsk to Irkutsk on 23 December 1984. Shortly after takeoff, the No. 3 engine caught fire, and the airplane crashed during an emergency landing. This killed 110 people; there was only one survivor, and the aircraft was destroyed. The engine fire was caused by a manufacturing defect in the compressor disk.

On 24 January 1999, a bus carrying Hungarian teenagers on a skiing holiday went off the road in the mountains near Deutschlandsberg in Styria, Austria. 18 people were killed and 32 injured.
A passenger bus fell into a ravine, nearly 100-foot (30 m) high, in Carranglan, Nueva Ecija, the Philippines, killing 36 people and injuring about 40 others, after it lost its brakes near Dalton Pass on April 18, 2017. The accident surpassed the number of deaths in the bus crash in Tanay, Rizal in February that year that killed 15.
The 2020 Centane bus crash was a road accident in Centane, Eastern Cape, South Africa that occurred on March 2, 2020. Twenty-five people were killed, and approximately 62 were injured when a 65-seater bus plunged into a deep gorge. The bus had been travelling from the village of Cebe to Butterworth.
On 7 July 2020, a local bus in Anshun, Guizhou, in southwest China, made a sharp turn and crashed into the Hongshan Reservoir in Xixiu District. At least 21 people died and 16 others were injured. Among the passengers on the bus were candidates for the Gaokao examination.
In the morning of 10 July 2003, a Kowloon Motor Bus (KMB) double-decker bus plunged off a bridge near the Ting Kau section of the Tuen Mun Road in Tsuen Wan, New Territories. The crash killed 21 people and injured 20.
On 1 May 2008, at approximately 09:02 HKT, a tour bus flipped onto its side on Hiram's Highway in Sai Kung District, New Territories. The crash killed 19 people and injured 43.
A moment magnitude 5.7 earthquake struck Doti District, Sudurpashchim Province, Nepal on 9 November 2022. The earthquake was widely felt in western Nepal and northern India.
On 3 October 2023, a bus crash occurred in Marghera, Venice, Italy. A coach carrying 40 passengers fell from an overpass, killing 21 people and injuring 15. The accident happened while the bus was en route from Venice's historic center to a campsite in Marghera. Witnesses reported the bus scraping along the guardrail before breaking through and falling about 15 metres, catching fire upon impact. The flyover had been in need of repairs since 2016, with work beginning only in September 2023. One of the injured died on 4 April 2024, bringing the number of dead to 22.
