World Masters Orienteering Championships (WMOC) are annual international orienteering competitions and the official world championship for orienteering runners above the age of 35.
The WMOC 2016 was arranged 7-13 August 2016 in Estonia. [1] [2]
Sprint qualification was held in Tallinn Kadrioru Park, the most outstanding palatial and urban park in Estonia, and sprint finals were held in Tallinn's Old Town. 25 champions were celebrated the first final day 8 August 2016. [3]

Long qualification was held at Kõrvemaa, a wilderness area, dominated by glacial landforms, coniferous forests and extensive bogs, and the long distance final at Pikasaare, with competition centre located in Estonian Defence Forces main military training field, a pine and spruce forest with many features typical of morainic terrain. 24 champions were celebrated the last final day 13 August 2016. Belarus competed in the Summer Olympic Games for the first time as an independent nation at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, United States. Previously, Belarusian athletes competed for the Unified Team at the 1992 Summer Olympics. 157 competitors, 91 men and 66 women, took part in 115 events in 19 sports.
France competed at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow, USSR. In partial support of the American-led boycott of the 1980 Summer Olympics, France competed under the Olympic Flag instead of its national flag. 121 competitors, 98 men and 23 women, took part in 85 events in 13 sports.
Athletes from East Germany competed at the Olympic Games for the last time as an independent nation at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea. Following German reunification in 1990, a single German team would compete in the 1992 Summer Olympics. 259 competitors, 157 men and 102 women, took part in 157 events in 16 sports. The team was officially announced on 3 September 1988.

The first world record in the men's 1500 metres freestyle in a long course swimming pool was recognised by the International Swimming Federation (FINA) in 1908. In short course pools, the world's governing body recognizes world records since March 3, 1991.

Annika Viilo is a Finnish orienteering competitor and World champion. She won a gold medal at the 1995 World Orienteering Championships in Detmold with the Finnish relay team. She received a silver medal on the Classic distance at the 1993 World Championships in West Point, and also a silver medal with the relay team, and she received a bronze medal with the relay team in 1989 (Skaraborg).
The sulfate minerals are a class of minerals that include the sulfate ion (SO42−) within their structure. Katerina Stefanidi is a Greek pole vaulter. She won the gold medal at the 2016 Olympic Games with a jump of 4.85 meters and has also competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics. She is the current World Outdoor (2017), European Outdoor (2018), Diamond League (2018) champion, a European Indoor champion and a two-time World Indoor Championships bronze medalist. Stefanidi has won a total of ten (10) medals in all five major international athletics championships. Because of her achievements she is widely regarded as the greatest female athlete in the history of Greek sport.
The 300 metres hurdles is an athletics or track and field event. It is a cut down version of the International event the 400 metres hurdles. It is a standard event under the NFHS in American high school competition and a championship level event in Masters athletics. The two iterations of the event vary somewhat. Common to all long hurdling events, the distance between hurdles is 35 metres.
The World Masters Squash Championships are an international squash competition organised by the World Squash Federation and played between players for athletes over the age of 35 years. World Masters are divided into ten categories — Over 35, Over 40, Over 45, Over 50, Over 55, Over 60, Over 65, Over 70, Over 75 and Over 80.

Christin Hussong is a German track and field athlete who competes in the javelin throw. She has won gold at the 2011 World Youth Championships, 2015 European U23 Championships and at the 2018 European Championships. Hussong holds the European Championships record with her personal best throw of 67.90 m.
The women's pole vault at the 2015 World Championships in Athletics was held at the Beijing National Stadium on 24 and 26 August. 2013 Champion and world record holder Elena Isinbayeva did not defend her title having given birth to her first child in 2014.
The women's pole vault at the 2016 IAAF World Indoor Championships took place on March 17, 2016. Jennifer Suhr of the United States won gold.
The World Trail Orienteering Championships (WTOC) were first held in 2004 and annually since them. The majority of the championships were held in Europe, with 2005 the only exception up to date.

The World Masters Orienteering Championships 2018 was the 23rd World Masters Orienteering Championships(WMOC) organised and held in Denmark with 4200 participants from 45 countries. The WMOC is an annual international orienteering competition and the official world championship for orienteering runners above the age of 35. This is the largest orienteering event ever held on Danish soil. The champions were coming from 23 countries. The Danish organizers were using the WMOC as a promotional opportunity and arranged around the event several local competitions for the Danish public, which attracted participation in all ages.
