The 2017 Cavan Intermediate Football Championship was the 53rd edition of Cavan GAA's premier Gaelic football tournament for intermediate graded clubs in County Cavan, Ireland. The tournament consists of 14 teams, with the winner representing Cavan in the Ulster Intermediate Club Football Championship.
The championship starts with a league stage and then progresses to a knock out stage. The draw for the group stages of the championship were made on 10 April 2017. [1]
Shercock won the championship by beating Ballyhaise in the final. [2]

County Cavan is a county in Ireland. It is in the province of Ulster and is part of the Northern and Western Region. It is named after the town of Cavan and is based on the historic Gaelic territory of East Breffny (Bréifne). Cavan County Council is the local authority for the county, which had a population of 81,201 at the 2022 census.
The Cavan Intermediate Football Championship is an annual Gaelic Athletic Association competition between the middle-tier Gaelic football clubs organised by Cavan GAA. It was first competed for in 1915, before a lapse prior to being revived in 1966. The winners qualify to represent their county in the Ulster Intermediate Club Football Championship and in turn, go on to the All-Ireland Intermediate Club Football Championship. The 2023 champions are Ballyhaisewho beat Denn in the final.
