The 2017 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup was an international beach soccer tournament held in the Bahamas from 27 April to 7 May 2017. The 16 national teams involved in the tournament were required by FIFA to register a squad of 12 players, including two goalkeepers. [1] Only players in these squads were eligible to take part in the tournament which was revealed on 20 April 2017. [2]
This article lists the national beach soccer squads that took part in the tournament. The age listed for each player is as on 27 April 2017, the first day of the tournament and the names of the players shown are that of the FIFA Display Names listed on the official squad document issued by FIFA.

Overall 192 players travelled to the Bahamas to compete in the tournament. Of these players, every member of each squad was registered with a club team in their own country, save for three Portuguese players who play abroad.
Twelve of the sixteen managers were managing their own nation's national team whilst four managed foreign teams in respect to their own nationality. Brazilian managers comprised the most head coaches, with four attending the finals.

The women's football tournament at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta was held from 21 July to 1 August 1996. The women's tournament was a full international tournament with no restrictions on age. The eight national teams involved in the tournament were required to register a squad of 16 players, including two goalkeepers. Additionally, teams could name a maximum of four alternate players, numbered from 17 to 20. The alternate list could contain at most three outfielders, as at least one slot was reserved for a goalkeeper. In the event of serious injury during the tournament, an injured player could be replaced by one of the players in the alternate list. Only players in these squads were eligible to take part in the tournament.
The Brazil national beach soccer team represents Brazil in international beach soccer competitions and is controlled by the CBF, the governing body for football in Brazil. Portugal, Russia, Spain and Senegal are the only squads to have eliminated Brazil out of the World Cup. Brazil are ranked 1st in the BSWW World Rankings. They are, alongside Portugal, the only team to have won the world title before and after FIFA assumed the government of beach soccer worldwide.
The El Salvador national beach soccer team represents El Salvador in international beach soccer competitions and is controlled by the FESFUT, the governing body for football in El Salvador.
The Uruguay national beach soccer team represents Uruguay in international beach soccer competitions and is controlled by the AUF, the governing body for football in Uruguay.
The United States U-20 women's national soccer team is a youth soccer team operated under the auspices of U.S. Soccer. Its primary role is the development of players in preparation for the senior women's national team. The team most recently appeared in the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup in France, where they failed to progress from the group stage for the first time in the competition's history. The team competes in a variety of competitions, including the biennial FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup, which is the top competition for this age group.
The Tahiti national beach soccer team represents Tahiti or French Polynesia in international beach soccer competitions and is controlled by the FTF and the FFF, the governing body for football in Tahiti. In contrast to the fortunes of the association football team, Tahiti's beach soccer has, since 2011, been one of the strongest teams in world beach soccer. The team made history at the 2013 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup by becoming the first Pacific nation to qualify for the knockout stages of an international FIFA tournament. At the 2015 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Tahiti beat Italy in a penalty shootout to become the first Pacific nation to ever make it to a final in a FIFA tournament. They followed this up with another appearance in the 2017 final.

The 16 national teams involved in the tournament were required to register a squad of 21 players, including three goalkeepers. The 16 national teams involved in the tournament were required to register a squad of 12 players; only players in these squads are eligible to take part in the tournament.

Its primary role was the development of players in preparation for the senior England women's national football team. In 2021, the England women's under-23 team replaced the purpose of the under-21 team, in order to increase the opportunities for young players.

On 2 July, FIFA confirmed that there was a change for the 2020 Olympics, allowing all 22 players named to be available on the roster, with 18 being named for each match. The official squad lists were released by FIFA on 7 July 2021, with the athletes originally named as alternates assigned the numbers 19 through 22. The IOC also confirmed that a player must appear on at least one 18-player matchday roster to be considered an Olympian and to receive a medal.

The 16 national teams involved in the tournament were required by FIFA to register a squad of 12 players, including two goalkeepers. The squad size has been reduced from 14 players at the previous edition, which had been specially increased for that tournament in consideration of the "special circumstances encountered by teams due to the COVID-19 pandemic".
