The 2017 Missouri Valley Conference Baseball Tournament will be held from May 24 through 27. All eight baseball-sponsoring schools in the conference will participate in the double-elimination tournament to be held at Missouri State's Hammons Field in Springfield, Missouri. The winner of the tournament will earn the conference's automatic bid to the 2017 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. [1] [2]

Seeding and format

The league's eight teams will be seeded based on conference winning percentage. The teams will play a two bracket, double-elimination format tournament, with the winner of each bracket then playing a single elimination final.

College World Series College baseball tournament

The College World Series (CWS), officially the NCAA Men's College World Series (MCWS), is an annual baseball tournament held in June in Omaha, Nebraska. The CWS is the culmination of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I Baseball Championship tournament—featuring 64 teams in the first round—which determines the NCAA Division I college baseball champion. The SEC Tournament champion is separate from the conference champion. The conference championship is determined solely by regular season record.

The Sun Belt Conference Baseball Tournament is the conference championship tournament in baseball for the Sun Belt Conference. The winner of the tournament receives the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. After Coastal Carolina University hosts the competition in Conway, South Carolina in 2019, the tournament will move to a neutral site, Riverwalk Stadium in Montgomery, AL, from 2020 to 2024.

All eight baseball-sponsoring schools in the conference participated in the double-elimination tournament at Wichita State's Eck Stadium in Wichita, Kansas. The event, held at the end of the conference regular season, determines the champion of the American Athletic Conference for the 2017 season. The winner of the double-elimination tournament will receive the conference's automatic bid to the 2017 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.

The 2017 Sun Belt Conference Baseball Tournament was held at J. I. Clements Stadium on the campus of Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia from May 24 to May 28, 2017, using a double-elimination format. The winner of the tournament earned the Sun Belt Conference's automatic bid to the 2017 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.

The 2017 Southland Conference Baseball Tournament was held from May 24 through 27. The top eight regular season finishers of the league's thirteen teams met in the double-elimination tournament to be held at Constellation Field in Sugar Land, Texas. Abilene Christian and Incarnate Word are ineligible for postseason play as they transition from Division II.
