The 2017 Horizon League Baseball Tournament was held from May 24 through 27 at Les Miller Field at Curtis Granderson Stadium in Chicago, home to conference regular-season champion UIC. The top six finishers of the league's seven teams met in the double-elimination tournament. UIC won the tournament to earn the conference's automatic bid to the 2017 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. [1] [2]

Seeding and format

The league's teams were seeded 1 through 7 based on winning percentage in conference play. The last-place team did not qualify for the tournament, and the remaining six teams played a double-elimination tournament.

Southeastern Conference Baseball Tournament

The Southeastern Conference Baseball Tournament is the conference tournament in baseball for the Southeastern Conference (SEC). It is a double-elimination tournament and seeding is based on regular season records. The winner receives the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. The SEC Tournament champion is separate from the conference champion. The conference championship is determined solely by regular season record.

The Mid-American Conference Baseball Tournament was the conference baseball championship of the Mid-American Conference, Division I members of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). In its final format, the top six finishers participated in the double-elimination tournament, which was most recently played at Crushers Stadium in Avon, Ohio, from 2012 through 2019. The winner of the tournament received an automatic berth to the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship. The tournament began in 1981, but was not held from 1984 through 1991. It returned in 1992 and was held annually through 2019. It was scheduled to be played in May 2020, but was cancelled in March 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. As part of several changes announced in May 2020 related to the pandemic, the tournament was eliminated along with the post-season tournaments of seven other sports, for at least four seasons. Kent State won the most tournament titles with 12, followed by Eastern Michigan with four.

The 2012 Horizon League Baseball Tournament took place from May 23–27. All six of the league's teams met in the double-elimination tournament held at UIC's Les Miller Field. Top seeded Valparaiso won their first Horizon League Championship and earned the conference's automatic bid to the 2012 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.

The 2014 Horizon League Baseball Tournament was held from May 21–24. All six of the league's teams met in the double-elimination tournament held at Kapco Park on the campus of Concordia University Wisconsin in Milwaukee. Youngstown State won the tournament for the second time, earning the conference's automatic bid to the 2014 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.

The 1993 NCAA Division I baseball season, play of college baseball in the United States organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) began in the spring of 1993. The season progressed through the regular season and concluded with the 1993 College World Series. The College World Series, held for the forty seventh time in 1993, consisted of one team from each of eight regional competitions and was held in Omaha, Nebraska at Johnny Rosenblatt Stadium as a double-elimination tournament. LSU claimed the championship for the second time.

The 2017 America East Conference Baseball Tournament was held from May 24 to 27, 2017. All six eligible participants out of the league's seven teams met in the double-elimination tournament held at Edward A. LeLacheur Park in Lowell, Massachusetts, the home park of UMass Lowell and the minor league Lowell Spinners. UMBC won the tournament and received the conference's automatic bid into the 2017 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.

The 2017 Conference USA Baseball Tournament will be held from May 24 through May 28 at MGM Park in Biloxi, Mississippi. The annual tournament determines the conference champion of the Division I Conference USA for college baseball. The tournament champion will receive the league's automatic bid to the 2017 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.

The 2017 Summit League Baseball Tournament took place from May 24 through 27. The top four regular season finishers of the league's six teams met in the double-elimination tournament held at J. L. Johnson Stadium on the campus of Oral Roberts in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The winner of the tournament will earn the Summit League's automatic bid to the 2017 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.

The 2017 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament was held from May 24 through 28. The top six regular season finishers of the league's eleven teams met in the double-elimination tournament to be held at Sal Maglie Stadium in Niagara Falls, New York. Marist won their sixth tournament championship and earned the conference's automatic bid to the 2017 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.

The 2017 Ohio Valley Conference Baseball Tournament will be held from May 24 through 28. The top six regular season finishers will meet in the double-elimination tournament, to be held at Choccolocco Park in Oxford, Alabama. The tournament champion will earn the conference's automatic bid to the 2017 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. Among current members, Austin Peay has won the most championships, with six, while Belmont, SIU Edwardsville ,and Tennessee–Martin have never won championships. The Tournament began in 1979.

The 2017 Mountain West Conference Baseball Tournament took place from May 24 through 28 at Santa Ana Star Field in Albuquerque, New Mexico, home field of the conference's regular-season champion New Mexico. The conference's top four teams from the regular season met in a double-elimination tournament. The winner of the tournament, San Diego State, earned the Mountain West Conference's automatic bid to the 2017 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.

The 2018 Horizon League Baseball Tournament was held from May 23–26. All six of the league's teams will meet in the double-elimination tournament to be held at the home field of the regular season champion. The winner of the tournament will earn the conference's automatic bid to the 2018 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.

The 2019 Horizon League Baseball Tournament was held from May 22–25. All six of the league's teams met in the double-elimination tournament held at the home field of the regular season champion. The winner of the tournament, UIC, earned the conference's automatic bid to the 2019 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.
