Jonathan Erlich and Andy Ram were the defending champions but they lost in the Quarterfinals to the eventual Champions Colin Fleming and Ross Hutchins who defeated Jamie Delgado and Ken Skupski in an all British final, 6–4, 6–3.

The 2017 Nordic Naturals Challenger was a professional tennis tournament played on hard courts. It was the 30th edition of the tournament which was part of the 2017 ATP Challenger Tour. It took place in Aptos, United States between 7 and 13 August 2017.
Ken and Neal Skupski were the defending champions and successfully defended their title, defeating Sander Arends and Antonio Šančić 5–7, 6–3, [10–8] in the final.
Andre Begemann and Jan-Lennard Struff were the defending champions but chose not to defend their title.
Roman Jebavý and Antonio Šančić were the defending champions but only Jebavý chose to defend his title, partnering Florin Mergea. Jebavý lost in the first round to Denys Molchanov and Igor Zelenay.

Ivan Dodig and Filip Polášek defeated defending champions Rajeev Ram and Joe Salisbury in the final, 6–3, 6–4, to win the men's doubles tennis title at the 2021 Australian Open. By winning the title, Dodig and Polášek won their first Grand Slam doubles title as a team. The victory also earned Polášek his first major title and made him the second Slovak player to win one after compatriot Daniela Hantuchová.
