The 2018 Viterra Championship , Manitoba's provincial men's curling championship, was held from January 31 to February 4 at the Winkler Centennial Arena in Winkler. The winning Reid Carruthers team represented Manitoba at the 2018 Tim Hortons Brier in Regina, Saskatchewan.

Michael McEwen, nicknamed "Magic Mike McEwen" is a Canadian curler from Winnipeg, Manitoba, who grew up in Brandon, Manitoba. McEwen won six Grand Slams in his career before his team qualified for their first Brier, Canada's national championship in 2016. He is noted as one of the top curlers using the Manitoba tuck delivery today.
The 2010 Safeway Championship, Manitoba's provincial men's curling championship was held February 10 to 14 at the T.G. Smith Centre in Steinbach, Manitoba. The winning Jeff Stoughton rink went on to represent Manitoba at the 2010 Tim Hortons Brier in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
The 2011 Safeway Championship, Manitoba men's provincial curling championship was held February 9 to 13 at the Sun Gro Centre in Beausejour. The winning Jeff Stoughton rink represented Manitoba at the 2011 Tim Hortons Brier in London, Ontario where they captured the Brier tankard. As of 2024, this is the last time that a Manitoba provincial champion won a Brier.
Reid Carruthers is a Canadian curler from Winnipeg, Manitoba. Carruthers was the 2011 world champion—winning gold as a second on Jeff Stoughton's team—as well as an eight-time provincial champion, the 2003 junior provincial champion, and the 2008 Manitoba provincial mixed champion. He coaches the Kerri Einarson women's team.
Derek Samagalski is a Canadian curler who currently resides in Carberry, Manitoba. Samagalski currently plays third on the Jacques Gauthier rink.

The 2023 Tim Hortons Brier, Canada's national men's curling championship, was held from March 3 to 12 at the Budweiser Gardens in London, Ontario. The defending champion Team Canada rink, skipped by Brad Gushue won the event, and would go on to represent Canada at the 2023 World Men's Curling Championship on home soil at TD Place Arena in Ottawa, Ontario, where they won a silver medal. It was a record fifth Brier title as a skip for Gushue.

The winning Matt Dunstone rink represented Manitoba at the 2023 Tim Hortons Brier in London, Ontario where they finished with a silver medal after losing in the final to Team Canada 7–5. The only two losses in the Brier by the Dunstone rink came against Team Canada.
The 2024 Montana's Brier, Canada's national men's curling championship, was held from March 1 to 10 at the Brandt Centre in Regina, Saskatchewan. Team Canada, who was skipped by Brad Gushue won their third straight Brier Tankard and represented Canada at the 2024 World Men's Curling Championship at the KSS Sports Complex in Schaffhausen, Switzerland where they won the silver medal.
The 2024 Viterra Championship, Manitoba's provincial men's curling championship, was held from February 7 to 11 at the Veterans Memorial Sports Complex in Stonewall, Manitoba. The winning Reid Carruthers rink represented Manitoba at the 2024 Montana's Brier in Regina, Saskatchewan.
