Qualification for the 2012 United States Men's Curling Championship took place in two rounds in January at various locations throughout the nation. The number of entrants to the national championships was cut down to eleven teams through a playdown system of regional qualifiers and a challenge round.

The 2013 New Brunswick Scotties Tournament of Hearts, the women's provincial curling championship for New Brunswick, was held from January 30 to February 3 at the Tri-County Complex in Fredericton Junction, New Brunswick. The winning team of Andrea Crawford represented New Brunswick at the 2013 Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Kingston, Ontario.

The 2014 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship was held from November 14 to 23 at the Rideau Curling Club in Ottawa, Ontario. Alberta's Darren Moulding defeated defending champion Cory Heggestad of Ontario in the final with a score of 8–5.

The men's tournament of the 2014 Canadian Senior Curling Championships was held from March 22 to 29 at the Yellowknife Community Arena and the Yellowknife Curling Centre in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories.

The 2017 Recharge With Milk Men's Tankard, better known as the Ontario Tankard was the 2017 edition of the Ontario men's provincial curling championship to determine who will represent the province of Ontario at the 2017 Tim Hortons Brier, the national curling championship of Canada. The 2017 Canadian Olympic Curling Trials were held from December 2 to 10 at the Canadian Tire Centre in Kanata, Ottawa, Ontario. The winners of the men's and women's events would represent Canada at the 2018 Winter Olympics.

The 2018 Viterra Championship, Manitoba's provincial men's curling championship, was held from January 31 to February 4 at the Winkler Centennial Arena in Winkler. The winning Reid Carruthers team represented Manitoba at the 2018 Tim Hortons Brier in Regina, Saskatchewan.

The 2020 Manitoba Scotties Tournament of Hearts presented by Bayer, the provincial women's curling championship for Manitoba, was held from January 29 – February 2 at the Riverdale Community Centre in Rivers, Manitoba. The 2022 New Holland Canadian Junior Curling Championships was held from March 26 to April 1 at the Stratford Rotary Complex in Stratford, Ontario. The winning teams represented Canada at the 2023 World Junior Curling Championships in Füssen, Germany.

The 2023 Viterra Championship, Manitoba's provincial men's curling championship, was held from February 8 to 12 at the Yellowstone Community Recreation Centre in Neepawa, Manitoba. The winning Matt Dunstone rink represented Manitoba at the 2023 Tim Hortons Brier in London, Ontario where they finished with a silver medal after losing in the final to Team Canada 7–5. The only two losses in the Brier by the Dunstone rink came against Team Canada.

The 2024 Viterra Championship, Manitoba's provincial men's curling championship, was held from February 7 to 11 at the Veterans Memorial Sports Complex in Stonewall, Manitoba. The winning Reid Carruthers rink represented Manitoba at the 2024 Montana's Brier in Regina, Saskatchewan.
