The 2018 World's Best Racehorse Rankings, sponsored by Longines was the 2018 edition of the World's Best Racehorse Rankings. [1] It was an assessment of Thoroughbred racehorses issued by the International Federation of Horseracing Authorities (IFHA) on 24 January 2019. [2] It included horses aged three or older which competed in flat races during 2018. It was open to all horses irrespective of where they raced or were trained.

The Longines World's Best Racehorse Rankings (LWBRR), known as World Thoroughbred Racehorse Rankings (WTRR) before 2012, are horseracing's equivalent to World Rankings by other major sporting organizations such as ATP Tennis Rankings, World Golf Rankings, FIFA World Rankings for soccer and IRB Rugby World Rankings. The Longines Rankings are based on the rating earned by horses running worldwide from North and South America, Europe, Middle East, South Africa, Asia through to Australia and New Zealand.

Rewilding (horse) British Thoroughbred racehorse

Rewilding was a thoroughbred racehorse. He won races at Royal Ascot and in Dubai. His finest hour came when winning the 2011 Prince Of Wales Stakes, beating Australian superstar So You Think. As a 3-year-old he won the Cocked Hat Stakes at Goodwood and the Great Voltiguer Stakes at York.

David Junior is a retired thoroughbred racehorse and active sire who was bred in the United States but trained in the United Kingdom during his racing career, which lasted from 2004 to 2006. Lord Kanaloa Japanese-bred Thoroughbred racehorse

Lord Kanaloa is a Japanese Thoroughbred racehorse and sire. A specialist sprinter, he recorded his first important success in 2011 when he won the Grade 3 Keihan Hai at Kyoto Racecourse. In the following year he won once from his first four starts but then emerged as a world-class performer with wins in the Sprinters Stakes and the Hong Kong Sprint, becoming the first Japanese horse to win the latter race. Lord Kanaloa was even better in 2013 winning the Takamatsunomiya Kinen before stepping up in distance to take the Yasuda Kinen. In the autumn he repeated his wins in the Sprinters Stakes and the Hong Kong Sprint and ended the year rated as one of the best racehorses in the world.

Fierement Japanese-bred Thoroughbred racehorse

Fierement, is a Japanese Thoroughbred racehorse. Unraced as a juvenile he won his first two starts as a three-year-old before running second in the Radio Nikkei Sho and the winning the Grade 1 Kikuka Sho on his final appearance of the year. In the following spring he finished runner-up in the American Jockey Club Cup before recording his second Grade 1 success in the spring edition of the Tenno Sho. As a five-year-old in 2020 he repeated his success in the spring Tenno Sho, ran second in the autumn edition of the same race and finished third in the Arima Kinen.

Suave Richard Japanese Thoroughbred racehorse

Suave Richard is a Japanese Thoroughbred racehorse best known for winning the 2019 Japan Cup. He showed promising form as a juvenile in 2016 when je won one of his three races and finished second in the Tokyo Sports Hai Nisai Stakes. In the following year he was one of the best colts of his generation in Japan, winning the Tokinominoru Kinen and the Copa Republica Argentina and running second in the Tokyo Yushun. As a four-year-old he won the Kinko Sho and the Grade 1 Osaka Hai as well as taking third place in both the Yasuda Kinen and the Japan Cup. In 2019 he finished third in the Dubai Sheema Classic and the Takarazuka Kinen and won the Japan Cup at Tokyo Racecourse in November.

It was an assessment of Thoroughbred racehorses issued by the International Federation of Horseracing Authorities (IFHA) on 22 January 2020.
