The 2018–19 Israeli Basketball State Cup was the 59th edition of the Israeli Basketball State Cup, organized by the Israel Basketball Association.

Contents

The Final Four of the tournament was held from February 11–14 in the Pais Arena in Jerusalem.

On February 14, 2019, Hapoel Jerusalem won its fifth State Cup title after an 82–67 win over Maccabi Rishon LeZion in the Final. TaShawn Thomas was named the Final MVP. [1]

First Round

Ten teams participated in the First Round. Maccabi Tel Aviv, Hapoel Holon and Hapoel Jerusalem were pre-qualified for the Quarterfinals and didn't play in the First Round. [2]

On October 15, 2018, The Israel Basketball Association (IBBA) disqualified all the teams from the Liga Leumit, aside from Maccabi Haifa, due to the league's lockout. [3]

Hapoel is an Israeli Jewish sport association established in 1926 by the Histadrut Labor Federation.

Chanan Colman

Chanan Safir Colman is a Danish-Israeli professional basketball player for Hapoel Haifa of the Israel Basketball Premier League. He played college basketball for Chipola before playing professionally in Finland, Israel, Denmark. Colman was named the Finnish League Finals MVP in 2006 and the Danish League MVP in 2012.

Anthony Gordon Younger is an American-Israeli professional basketball coach and former player. He is currently working as assistant coach for Maccabi Rishon Lezion of the Israeli Premier League. He played college basketball at Spring Hill College before playing professionally in Israel and Hungary. Standing at 6 ft 6 in (1.98 m), he primarily plays at the small forward position.

The 2021 Israeli Basketball League Cup, for sponsorships reasons the Winner League Cup, is the 16th edition of the pre-season tournament of the Israeli Basketball Premier League. Twelve Israeli Premier League team's will participate except from Elitzur Netanya which chose not to participate in light of the short preparation time available to it.
