2019 Asian Men's Volleyball Championship | |
The 2019 Asian Men's Volleyball Championship was the twentieth staging of the Asian Men's Volleyball Championship, a biennial international volleyball tournament organised by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) with Islamic Republic of Iran Volleyball Federation (IRIVF). The tournament was held in Tehran, Iran from 13 to 21 September 2019.
Top eight teams which had not yet qualified to the 2020 Summer Olympics qualified for the 2020 Asian Olympic Qualification Tournament.
Following the AVC regulations, The maximum of 16 teams in all AVC events will be selected by

Teams were seeded in the first two positions of each pool following the serpentine system according to their final standing of the 2017 edition. AVC reserved the right to seed the hosts as head of Pool A regardless of the final standing of the 2017 edition. All teams not seeded were drawn in Bangkok, Thailand on 19 February 2019. The Asian Men's Volleyball Championship was the eighteenth staging of the Asian Men's Volleyball Championship, a biennial international volleyball tournament organised by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) with Islamic Republic of Iran Volleyball Federation (IRIVF). The tournament was held in Tehran, Iran from 31 July to 8 August 2015.
The 2015 Asian Men's U23 Volleyball Championship was held in Naypyidaw, Myanmar from 12 to 20 May 2015. It was the inaugural edition of the tournament and served as the Asian qualifier for the 2015 Men's U23 World Championship to be held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates which the top two teams qualified for the world championship. Iran won the tournament and Purya Fayazi was the most valuable player.
The 2015 Asian Men's Club Volleyball Championship was the 16th staging of the AVC Club Championships. The tournament was held in Taipei, Taiwan from 13 to 21 August 2015. The champions qualified for the 2016 FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship as Asia's representative.
The 2017 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship was the nineteenth edition of the Asian Championship, a biennial international volleyball tournament organised by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) with Larong Volleyball sa Pilipinas, Inc. (LVPI). The tournament was held in both Biñan and Muntinlupa, Philippines from 9 to 17 August 2017.
The 2019 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship was the twentieth edition of the Asian Women's Volleyball Championship, a biennial international volleyball tournament organised by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) with Korea Volleyball Association (KVA). The tournament was held in Seoul, South Korea, from 18 to 25 August 2019. South Korea played host to this event for the first time. The top eight teams of this tournament qualified for the 2020 AVC Women's Volleyball Olympic Qualification Tournament.
The AVC qualification for the 2018 FIVB Men's Volleyball World Championship saw member nations compete for four places at the finals in Italy and Bulgaria.

The tournament was held at University of Taipei Gymnasium, Taipei, Taiwan from 8 to 15 August 2018.
