The Argentina national basketball team represents Argentina in men's international basketball officially nicknamed The Argentine Soul, and it is controlled by the Argentine Basketball Federation.

The Australian women's national basketball team is nicknamed the Opals, after the brightly coloured gemstone common to the country. From 1994 onwards, the Opals have been consistently competitive and successful having won nine medals at official FIBA international tournaments, highlighted by a gold medal winning performance at the 2006 World Championship in Brazil. At the now-defunct regional Oceania Championship for Women, the Opals won 15 titles. 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup

The 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup was the 17th edition of the FIBA Basketball World Cup, the tournament previously known as the FIBA World Championship. Hosted by Spain, it was the last tournament to be held on the then-current four-year cycle. The next FIBA World Cup was held five years later, in 2019, to reset the four-year-cycle on a different year than the FIFA World Cup.

2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup

The 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup was the 18th tournament of the FIBA Basketball World Cup for men's national basketball teams. The tournament was hosted in China and was rescheduled from 2018 to 2019, becoming the first since 1967 that did not occur in the same year as the FIFA World Cup. The tournament expanded from 24 to 32 teams.

Olivier Hanlan Canadian basketball player

Olivier Hanlan is a Canadian professional basketball player for Iraklis of the Greek Basket League and the Basketball Champions League. He played college basketball for the Boston College Eagles of the NCAA and was the first player for Boston College since Troy Bell to win conference rookie of the year honors.

The 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup included teams with rosters of 12 players each; a team may opt to have one naturalized player from its roster. The rosters were finalized at the team managers' meeting, at the night prior to the first game.

The following is the list of squads for each of the 16 teams competing in the 2014 FIBA World Championship for Women, held in Turkey between September 27 and October 5. Each team selected a squad of 12 players for the tournament.

The Philippines men's national basketball team played at the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup held in Spain. The 24-team tournament began on August 30, and the winner automatically qualifies for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The Philippines qualified for the World Cup by virtue of the silver medal won by their 2013 FIBA Asia Championship squad.

The 2021 European Women Basketball Championship, commonly called EuroBasket Women 2021 will be the 38th edition of the continental tournament in women's basketball, sanctioned by the FIBA Europe. It will be co-hosted by France and Spain between 17 and 27 June 2021. It will be the third time to be hosted by multiple countries. The tournament also serves as part of European qualification for the 2022 FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup, with the top six nations advancing to the qualifying tournaments. The final were planned to be held at the AccorHotels Arena in Paris but moved to the Pavelló Municipal Font de San Lluís, in Valencia.
