The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference is a collegiate athletic conference affiliated with NCAA Division I. Of its current 11 full members, 10 are located in three states of the northeastern United States: Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York. The other member is in Maryland.

The 53rd edition of the tournament began on November 17, 2011 and culminated with the North Carolina Tar Heels defeating the Charlotte 49ers, 1–0, in the final on December 13 at Regions Park in Hoover, Alabama.
The 2011 ACC Men's Soccer Tournament was the 25th edition of the tournament, which determined the men's college soccer champion of the Atlantic Coast Conference, as well as the conference's automatic berth into the 2011 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship. The tournament began on November 7, with N.C. State defeating Virginia Tech 1–0 in a play-in fixture. The ACC Championship was played on November 13 at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, North Carolina with North Carolina defeating Boston College 3–1 in the final.
The 2011 Big East Conference men's soccer tournament is the 2011 edition of the tournament, which determines the men's college soccer champion of the Big East Conference, as well as the conference's automatic berth into the 2011 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship. The tournament will begin on November 2, 2011 and conclude with the Big East championship on November 13, 2011. The championship, along with the semifinal fixtures will be played at soccer-specific stadium Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey.

It determined the Big Ten Conference's automatic berth into the 2017 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship. Maryland entered the tournament as the three-time defending champions, but were defeated in the quarterfinals by eventual champions Wisconsin.

The tournament was hosted by Coastal Carolina, and all matches were played at CCU Soccer Field.

The 2019–20 Saint Peter's Peacocks men's basketball team represented Saint Peter's University in the 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Peacocks, led by 2nd-year head coach Shaheen Holloway, played their home games at Yanitelli Center in Jersey City, New Jersey as members of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. They finished the season 18–12 overall, 14–6 in MAAC play to finish in second place. As the #2 seed in the MAAC Tournament, they defeated #7 seed Iona 56–54 in the quarterfinals. However, the semifinals and championship game, and all postseason tournaments, were cancelled amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 2019 ASUN men's soccer tournament, the 41st edition of the ASUN Men's Soccer Tournament, determined the ASUN Conference's automatic berth for the 2019 NCAA Division I men's soccer tournament. The tournament began on November 8 and concluded on November 16.
The 2019 MAC men's soccer tournament was the 27th and final edition of the MAC Men's Soccer Tournament, a post-season college soccer conference tournament to determine the MAC champion, and the conference's automatic berth into the NCAA Division I men's soccer tournament. The 2019 edition of the tournament began on November 12 and concluded on November 17, 2019.
The 2021 Conference USA men's soccer tournament, was the 26th edition of the tournament. Conference USA did not conduct a men's soccer tournament after the 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The tournament determined Conference USA's automatic berth into the 2021 NCAA Division I men's soccer tournament. The tournament began November 10 and concluded on November 14. The tournament was hosted by University of Charlotte, and all matches were played at the Transamerica Field in Charlotte, North Carolina. This would mark the final C-USA Tournament played as the conference stopped sponsoring men's soccer after the 2021 season when it lost all nine of its members due to conference realignment.
The 2021 MAAC women's soccer tournament was the postseason women's soccer tournament for the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference held from October 31 through November 7, 2021. The seven-match tournament took place at campus sites, with the higher seed hosting matches. The host for the matches was determined by seeding from regular season play. The eight-team single-elimination tournament consisted of three rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The Siena Saints were the defending champions and were unable to defended their title, losing to the Quinnipiac Bobcats on pentalties in the semifinal. The Monmouth Hawks won the title by defeating Quinnipiac 4–0 in the final. This is Monmouth's sixth overall tournament win and fifth in the last six years. The title is also the sixth for head coach Krissy Turner. As tournament champions, Monmouth earned the MAAC's automatic berth into the 2021 NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Tournament.
The 2021–22 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) men's basketball season began with practices in October 2021, followed by the start of the 2021–22 NCAA Division I men's basketball season on November 9. Conference play started in December and concluded in March 2022. This was the 41st season of MAAC basketball.

The eight-team single-elimination tournament consisted of three rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The Monmouth were the defending champions and were unable to defended their title, losing to Marist in the semifinals. Marist went on to win the Championship, defeating Rider in a penalty shoot-out in the final. This is Marist's fourth overall tournament win and first since 2005. The title is also the first for head coach Matt Viggiano. As tournament champions, Marist earned the MAAC's automatic berth into the 2021 NCAA Division I men's soccer tournament.
