The 2019 Sporting Kansas City season was the twenty-fourth season of the team's existence in Major League Soccer and the ninth year played under the Sporting Kansas City moniker.

Contents

It was the first season since 2010 where Sporting did not qualify for the playoffs.

Summary

Preseason

Sporting Kansas City opened its preseason camp in Scottsdale, Arizona, in early January to prepare for the CONCACAF Champions League. Players slept in specialized tents on their beds that would simulate higher-elevation air pressure in order to adjust their bodies for a high-elevation match in Toluca, Mexico. [1]

Kelyn Jaynes Rowe is an American former professional soccer player who played as a midfielder.

The 2012 Sporting Kansas City season was the seventeenth season of the team's existence in Major League Soccer and the second year played under the Sporting Kansas City moniker.

The 2013 Sporting Kansas City season was the eighteenth season of the team's existence in Major League Soccer and the third year played under the Sporting Kansas City moniker.

The 2014 Sporting Kansas City season was the nineteenth season of the team's existence in Major League Soccer and the fourth year played under the Sporting Kansas City moniker.

The 2015 Sporting Kansas City season was the twentieth season of the team's existence in Major League Soccer and the fifth year played under the Sporting Kansas City moniker.

The 2016 Sporting Kansas City season was the twenty-first season of the team's existence in Major League Soccer and the sixth year played under the Sporting Kansas City moniker.

The 2017 Sporting Kansas City season was the twenty-second season of the team's existence in Major League Soccer and the seventh year played under the Sporting Kansas City moniker.

The 2019 FC Dallas season was the club's 24th season in Major League Soccer, the top tier of American soccer. FC Dallas also participated in the U.S. Open Cup.

The 2020 Sporting Kansas City season was the twenty-fifth season of the team's existence in Major League Soccer and the tenth year played under the Sporting Kansas City moniker. The season was suspended on March 12, for 30 days, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Following that decision, on March 19 Major League Soccer extended its temporary suspension until May 10. Following that decision, on April 17 Major League Soccer extended its temporary suspension until June 8.

The 2020 Sporting Kansas City II season was the club's first year under the new name of Sporting Kansas City II, fifth year of play and their second season in the Eastern Conference of the USL Championship, the top tier of United Soccer League. The second tier of the United States Soccer Pyramid. The team continued to play at Children's Mercy Park.

The 2020 FC Dallas season was the club's 25th season in Major League Soccer, the top tier of American soccer. FC Dallas was also to participate in the U.S. Open Cup before its cancelation due to the COVID-19 pandemic in North America.

The 2021 Sporting Kansas City season was the twenty-sixth season of the team's existence in Major League Soccer and the eleventh year played under the Sporting Kansas City moniker. The season began on April 17.

The 2022 Sporting Kansas City season was the 27th season of the team's existence in Major League Soccer and the 12th year played under the Sporting Kansas City moniker.

The 2023 Sporting Kansas City season was the 28th season of the team's existence in Major League Soccer and the 13th year played under the Sporting Kansas City moniker.
