The 2022 North Texas SC season was the club's fourth season. The first three seasons North Texas SC competed in USL League One, including their championship year in the inaugural 2019 season. In December 2021, North Texas SC announced that they would compete in the inaugural MLS Next Pro season, a new division three league in American soccer.

The 2023 FC Dallas season was the Major League Soccer club's 28th season and second under head coach Nico Estévez. FC Dallas also participated in the third edition of the Leagues Cup and the 108th edition of the U.S. Open Cup.

The 2024 season is the second season for St. Louis City SC. It is the club's second season in existence, their first in the top-tier of American soccer, and their second season in Major League Soccer.

The 2024 Houston Dynamo season is the 19th season of the team's existence since joining Major League Soccer (MLS) prior to the 2006 season. The Dynamo made the playoffs in 2023 for the first time since 2017. The Dynamo will Compete in the 2024 CONCACAF Champions Cup after winning the 2023 U.S. Open Cup.

The 2024 Sporting Kansas City season is the 29th season of the team's existence in Major League Soccer and the 14th year played under the Sporting Kansas City moniker. Sporting Kansas City opened the season against the Houston Dynamo on February 24, 2024.
